Default 11-12 Pinnacle

Haven't seen anyone's thoughts on this product yet. I noticed it released today and went back and looked at the info on it and I think it might be a decent break for 60ish dollars once the price settles down. I like the fact that just about every box in the case contains an auto, black, or starting 6 card...what do you guys think?

Look at last years set. Total garbage. Avoid it while you can. I got sucked into buying 3 boxes last year, and Ive regretted it since.

I picked up a box of last years for under $50. Card design was nice. The jersey cards were very nice and sharp looking. It's a good affordable set for kids and hockey fans. Not so much for big time collectors. Not high resale value.

For its $70 price at moment, I will have to pass.

Default Having fun with 11-12 Pinnacle

You certainly won't make any money on 2011-12 Pinnacle so I busted a case just for the fun of it. Actually I was just desperate for some new hockey. Best thing about the case was: not even one redemption card. Also received 10 autographs instead of the advertised 9. Best thing about the case was the photo's on the base cards. Here are my 8 favorites:

Omark and his shadow.

Vrbata working on his twig.

Semin on the rail.

Jets introduce their colors.

Subban and Thomas shake.

Thornton overjoyed.

Whitney and some kids.

Alzner over the rail.

The photography was my favorite thing about last year's set. I got my box last year for about $45 as well and I will most likely buy a box of this year's if the price comes down to the $45-$50 range. This isn't the product that I'm going to bust with hopes of pulling a killer card or turning a profit, just thought it was fun. Also love the tough times insert set.

Cool product. Love photos used for it. With some showing Military warm ups/ behind scene /lockerroom shots. Great to see Tough Times cards return as well.

Looks much better this year, starting 6 cards are great in my opinion.
