Default Sorry Bruins fans

No Ovie, No Backstrom, No Green and you still lose to the Capitals. Just thought I would point that out since you seem to point out how great you are all the time. I know, one meaningless game, but you lose!

Wasn't really looking for a response from a Flyers fan, but have at it. Congratulations to Mathieu Perreault on his first career hat trick (there, maybe its a little more meaningful now)

Seeing it's an open forum, you should expect a response from anyone that feels they want to respond.

i would love to see the evidence that us Boston fans always point out how great we are...if anything, we do it as much as other teams' fans. its called being a fan and being proud of your team. the fact that you would make an entire thread just to rub one loss in our face is kinda petty. this thread is meaningless just like avjp said. if all of us made a thread everytime we were happy that a certain team lost or won...well, this forum would be sh!t

Not trying to upset the decent Boston fans, just the ones who seem to defend every single action. (they know who they are) The fact Washington beat the best team in the NHL without their 2 or 3 best players is pretty amazing to me, that is all and I know its one game. Have a good night everyone.

Put those guys back in and what do you get, well 1st or 2nd Rd. Playoff LOSS, that's what happens every year right? HaHaha

Now move along really nothing of interest to see here.

And were you aware the Bruins were also without one of there starting D (Ference), as well as one of there top 5 point's F (Horton) concussion, and based on their overall stats might have been just as much of an impact on the B's. When you make a meaningless thread at least do your homework prior to posting! Just trying to educate ya.

Most Cups by any team in the past 20 years

Red Wings 17 straight home win streak

Datsyuk - best player in the NHL bar none - Stanley Cup winner, NHL trophy winner, best 2-way player this league has ever seen, shut down Crosby in both Cup finals (1 goal - doesn't deserve to say "I beat the Wings in the Cup finals", good on draws...

End thread

Hey guys - I understand all of the posts here and my main point wasn't to get a rise out of anyone as I was watching the game last night and just felt like posting something to get any kind of talk going - it seems for every hockey post it seems like there are 25 football/baseball posts - I would rather hear/see more hockey talk than anything else on here. I'll make my next thread much more worthwhile, at least I hope so.

Start a thread on why is Ovechkin not going to the All-Star Game. I believe it's his way of telling the league to "#@#@#@#@ Off" for the recent suspension. But I see where he claims he feels based on his play this season, he is not worthy of a spot. Interesting indeed, do you feel he is being honest and upfront?

It appears he is not going due to the suspension, and does not want to be quote "a distraction", interesting but still a publicity stunt on his suspension IMO

Ovechkin doesn't deserve to go cause his stats say so.

Atleast someone understands. This home winning streak has been sick.
No one likes to give the Wings credit, ever really. I guess being near the top forever gets old

The Wings record speaks for itself and I agree Pavel is the best player in the league right now. Their style of play seems to me, at least, more skating as opposed to hitting. Or should I say, when they hit someone to create a turnover, they have someone else on the ice that can actually put the puck in the net. As for Ovie, the team's style of play has hurt him more than anything IMO - people can say he is missing Backstrom (who is a better overall player IMO) but if you are playing defense first and nobody is helping in the offensive zone, you score less. Everyone's stats have suffered on the Caps outside of Chimera. As for the All-Star game, I feel he should go as his antics in the skills competition are probably more entertaining than the game itself. Regardless if you don't like him, his personality is good for the game - nice pie in the face for Perreault last night.

Where's the thread about Ovie getting suspended 3 games and choosing to skip the All Star game?

Too bad for you he couldn't shut down Max Talbot.

For real. That game was won by Talbot and Fleury. One of Talbots goals was because of Brad Stuart's turnover behind the net right to Max. That was the game winner.

Sad Sad...but I've moved on...well not quite (I am still bitter)

Yeah so...Ottawa is going nowhere with Craig Anderson in goal.

There is just no excuse for giving up a red-liner....

It was due to German Engineering! At least that's how Jack Edwards called it, pretty lame if you ask me! But still another strong 3rd period for the B's
