Washington Capitals recall Joel Rechlicz - his stats in Hershey this year thus far - 27 games played, 1 goal, 1 assist, 184 PIMs I was wondering where the toughness would come from when Hunter took over, but I could not have imagined this guy. Now that I have my hopes up, he will probably be a healthy scratch tomorrow night.

About freakin time. Caps need a change up, tough guy who goes out crushing people on 4th line. Every team should. Way too many soft boring teams. Wrecker is fun to watch and will scrap with anyone. Is a decent skater. Hope he does well and finds some takers.

Nice to know Don Cherry and I aren't the only people who think each team needs an enforcer

Hopefully Steve Downie asks to play on the 4th line tomorrow in Tampa, otherwise, I'm not sure who he will tangle with. It will be on Versus/NBC network, whatever they call it these days.

It had to kill Hunter and Mcphee when Matt Hendricks went after Borque in Montreal. For putting Backstrom out, only to see him kick his ass kicked. Love Hendricks that he is game sometimes, but he is terrible in role he has. Wrecker is awesome and will give other teams a lot to think about if they want to push around Caps. Plus he will break up boring games with some fights. Hope Hunter plays him, he will be a big fan favorite in DC if given the chance.

I agree. This is why I dont even watch hockey anymore. Soft players. I cant stand them.

Very lame - I think I counted 3 shifts for the Wrecker last night with no takers. Hopefully tonight against Florida he will have a partner.

Meanwhile, San Jose and the CBJs mixed it up 6 different times last night to the tune of 66 PIMs in the last 4 minutes....at least some scrapping was going on.

He tried to go with Barch last night in FL, but Barch pussied out. He will go after Bourque for sure Saturday afternoon in Montreal (since he knocked Backstrom out and still needs payback)

Rechlicz is a Top 5 goon in hockey. Not just NHL. He comes in and he is a beast. Not many will go with him in the NHL.
