When the last postage rates changed, the price increased quite a bit for international shipping. $3.00 is the minimum now to ship to Canada.
The worst part is if you are shipping expensive stuff and need tracking and delivery confirmation. It went from $25 to $38.

I said the same thing today. I remember paying $1.6 a month ago and went to the post office today and $3.

Nope they raised prices! Going to kill alot of sales between US and Canada. What can we do. Sucks because I sold alot of cards there.

that sucks, thats the way it is in canada though sending to the states, if the post office is nice enough to send out cards through lettermail, it costs me about $2.40, if they aren't, it's about $3. If I want any type of tracking, its an extra $16 roughly.
Did they raise all your international shipping rates? I know you guys were paying a lot less to send overseas as well. To get tracking on any parcels sent to europe for instance, it costs me roughly $80, for registered mail for singles, it's around $25 if I remember correctly.

I sent a package (1 card) a couple weeks ago to New Zealand and it was $3. Today, I sent 1 card (figuring around $2) and they said $3 again. I asked for the cheaper rate and she said this WAS the cheaper rate
![]() I stopped doing trades to Canada, partially bcuz of this and now I won't do any trades there. And now I have to charge $3.50-$4 from Canadians just to ship a $5 card... Sux to be a Canuck

I don't understand the big deal. So it's $4.00 instead of $3.00. My goodness call in the Army

Likewise, and I still see my cards going from RI to BC in 6-7 days max via first class international! I make it a point to print the postage on my Canadian labels ($3.15) and package in a bubble mailer, let's them know all I'm charging is what I put out, in my eyes if your selling cards to make a profit on shipping your selling low end exclusively, and to me it's just not worth all the BS/ IMO

There's a small loop hole when mailing to Canada that I use. If you use a LARGE ENVELOPE (I use the 9x12 I think) shipping is only $1.80. So, I put my regular padded bubbleope into the larger envelope and mail it off!
First-Class Mail® International Large Envelope**More info about First-Class Mail® International Large Envelope** Maximum Value for Contents: $400.00 Max. length 15", height 12" or thickness 3/4" Varies by destination $1.80

Bottom line is, people will move to another seller if shipping is cheaper. Doesn't matter to me what cost is, I'm not paying, but in the end, it will slow down sales.
