OPC Premeire, Overrated?

So Im looking at the breakdown of OPC Premeire 08/09 and I just dont see the point. Especially on the heels of Ultimate which was an awesome break, this seems like a total waste.

Break it down $150 for 5 cards:

1 base = garbage
1 manu patch = garbage unless you get a rare auto then its only slightly garbage
1 rc auto jersey= decent though i dont think adding 4 plain jersey swatches adds much, and at /299 even a stamkos might not get your box price back. Patches are about 1 per 3 cases.
1 other auto- could be decent but i havent seen a checklist
1 other relic/base parallel- Rough estimate is a patch every 3 boxes, otherwise this is garbage as well.

so 3/5 of your box is largely a miss right off the bat? No shields or nice 1/1's to chase? Is there something im missing?

Yeah, I'm no fan of it...I don't really like any of the Premier lines...it won't be as brutal as basketball, but even still...manufactured patches numbered to 199?

Plus, I think it says something that with how difficult it is to find 07/08 wax these days you can easily find Premiere.

I liked last years premier. I busted a good amount of it and did pretty well.

You know I never realized how sold out 07/08 is. Aside from SPA and Premeire, theres not really anything available.

And from a value standpoint, i think OPC premeire is horrible. Compared to Ultimate with 2-3 hits per $80 pack, vs this with 2-3 hits per $150 pack, who are they trying to fool?

I got the last few 07/08 boxes from blowout at $117 per box. Everything starts out the high and it slowly comes down.

Probably overrated, but there's no competition. Besides...I need 2 GREAT SLOTS in HJ's group break!

Very easy to lose $100+ a box on this....here's an example of a box:

Base Card - N. Lidstrom
RC Auto Jersey - Z. Bogosian #/299
Manu Patch - Cam Neely #/50
Other Auto - Jordan Staal #/100
Relic - T. Selanne #/75

$100 loss right there out of an average box.

No thanks.

Hence the occasional recourse some of us have to blasters at Target, Walmart, Kmart, Meijer's, etc....yeesh!!!!
