Default Question on the best Hockey Insert set there is

since im new to hockey , its obvious that i dont know its hobby roots.

in basketball we have couple of great inserts , flair hot numbers , ex a cut above , jambalaya ,molten metal 3d's etc etc .

i would like to know if there are similar sets comparable with hockey?

what are the best 3D cards?
What year is the best SPX motion cards?
What insert/numbered are themost sought after ?
whats the best looking insert card there is for hockey?

any guru out there to answer a few or all my questions thnx

Depends on your definition of "best"

I liked the 1996-97 Flair Hot Gloves

There has been plenty of hologram sets in hockey (most recent-SPX Force Quad Holograms).

Wouldnt consider the Cup inserts.

As for straight insert cards, SP Authentic Notables and SPXtreme have remained constant throughout the last couple of years, are numbered to /999 and feature a great checklist of Stars and Rookies. The Run for the Cup (Black Diamond) sets are a throwback to the EXTREMELY rare cards in the Early Black Diamond sets. This year Black diamond had the Premier cuts Die cut inserts, but the Level fours are RARE and Sell for full book or more. Upper Deck 1 and 2 have the Clearcut Winners, Duos and Rookies Acetate Cards numbered to either 100 or 25. A lot of choices out there for nice insert sets that wont break the bank.
