is this a good buy for 40 dollars a hobby box? Does it share the same checklist as its english conterpart?

Its a decent buy. There are no jersey cards in the set, all the cards are in French, and about 1 per box you will get a parallel card #/25.

Maybe a bit lower, but sooner or later collectors will pick up on how rare this set really is. I'm sitting on a couple of cases, there were only 499 of them produced, which means there are about 750 of each Young Guns out there.

12 box cases can be had for 428, I wouldn't mind tucking a couple of these away either. A couple nice YGs with the Canadian leaf /25 might look mighty nice in a few years.
