I missed Malkin's sneaky elbow to Grossman's head during the game but saw it yesterday on CSN. I thought the Kennedy hit was marginal and that was what rung his bell but the Malkin elbow was sneaky and cheap and that was what probably has him out for the rest of this series. Pens noticed how solid he's been and they've been taking runs at him going back to that regular season game in Pittsburgh. Obviously that's how they're coached so, since JVR is skating with the team and could return to the lineup, maybe its time for Rinaldo to run LeTang's head through the boards tonight.

Sucks I'm going to miss the series clincher tonight because of poker, the hand shake line should be very interesting.

I heard they just called the Pens a 2 min penalty for talking too loud in the locker room.

Flyers fan here.

Who's not worried one bit.

Yes, the Penguins have CLEARLY been the better team the last 2 games. Yes, it looks like they want it more. Yes, they have a better goal tender. Yes, they are playing with more skill and heart.

Why am I not worried then?

Because they still need to win TWO more games. One in Philly....

The fact of the matter is - 3 games to 0 comebacks just dont happen virtually ever. Only 3 teams in the history of the NHL have done that. The Flyers are playing like crap. If the Penguins started the series like this it'd be a sweep no doubt.

The Flyers can lose game 6 too, and I still won't be worried.

The only thing there is to say, the odds are so heavily in the Flyers favor that if they get knocked out in this series its for the better of the team, since they didn't deserve to go on.

Not...worried....one...bit.

Probably the exact same thing Yankees fans were saying about the Red Sox several years ago too.

LOL...sure

Seriously though, for your sake, I hope the Flyers win in game 6....I really don't want to see the Penguins play a game 7 in their own arena.

Actually, neither do I. I would rather see Game 7 played in Philadelphia. Pens lose all the Game 7's at home. Remember David Volek?

Why not that's just what this series needs, a winner take all Game 7! Based on these last 2 games it's a good bet that's just what is going to happen.

i look at it this way. if a team can beat another team in the playoffs 4 games in a row, and do it in convincing fashion, they deserve to go on.

And Im not just saying all this stuff to act like a "cool and collective' flyer fan.

Fact of the matter is - it takes A LOT of energy to play desperate hockey for 4 games in a row. The Penguins didn't slow down in the end simply because they were trying to clear the puck. They were tired.

When you're one game a way from being eliminated you need to play 1000% as soon as the puck drops in the first period. Meaning you get every 50/50 puck, you hit guys like crazy, and you go full speed 100% of the time.

Maintaining that stamina and rate of play for 4 straight games is unfeasible, which is why 3 to 0 comebacks happen so rarely. It was evident when the Flyers came back on Boston. The Flyers came out in game 7 COMPLETELY gassed. They looked like zombies.

How they managed to score 4 goals and take that game still boggles my mind.

Im not trying to slight Pittsburgh at all - they are a great team, and Malkin, Crosby, and Fleury (at least tonight regarding fleury) are masterful on the ice.

Just using common sense, and seeing how hard the Penguins are playing, its hard to believe that a team can keep up the rate of play and stamina necessary to win 2 more games.

I loved it.

As a Pens fan, I still don't think the Pens will pull it off, but I believe that they CAN.

Hartnell had a typical Flyer tantrum at the end of the game too but nobody from the Pens bought into his little game. If the Pens come out and put 2 quick on Philly on Sunday, that crowd will turn on them so fast and be a true hostile environment.

In this series, anything is possible. See youz Sunday.

Great effort again by the Pens last night. This is exactly what worried me after the game 4 loss. Momentum and confidence taken a HUGE shift, now.

I coach golf and constantly tell my kids in high-pressure situations, especially putting, that you have to putt to make rather than putt not to miss. I'm afraid the Flyers might not be playing as much to win as they are now playing NOT to lose, and that's a recipe for disaster. You start playing tight and trying not to make a mistake and get behind early...then when you do you start scrambling, trying to get it all back at once. Even with Philly up 2-1 last night I felt they were not playing with near the aggression or confidence that marked games 1-3 (with the exception of the opening period of the series).

Game 6 HAS to be won in Philly, because they will not win Game 7 in Pittsburgh with this type of play.

I'm definitely feeling nervous. I know 3-0 comebacks are extremely rare, but hell the Flyers had one a few years ago. And with the way the last two games have been going, I don't see how a little bit of doubt hasn't crept into every Flyers fan's mind. I don't have an ounce of confidenze in Bryz, while Fleury looks like he's regaining his form.
