Back into Hockey need some advice

So after i long time going back and fourth ive decided to get back into collecting hockey cards now i used to collect all the time back in the early and mid 90's when i was younger. I still have about 5 or 6 binders full of complete and almost complete sets from back than.

Im looking to pick up my first two boxes of hockey and was just looking for some advice on what to get not looking to spend alot but want at least two decent boxes i was thinking certified and something else as i like certified in football and help would be appreciated and i looking forward to trading with some of the hockey collectors on this site as well

Also going to look to pick up some NY Ranger cards as i am a life long ranger fan as well as im thinking Blake Geoffiron as i do like the Preds as well

Pick up a box of Upper Deck Series 1, nice crop of Young Guns Rookie cards along with a chance to pull Team Canada Canvas cards (sell well), and you will get a group of Rangers Base cards all for pretty cheap!

Blake Geoffiron Young gun is in ud series 1, and Hagelin young guns for the rangers is in series 2....both are fun break for the money!!! And if you pull a nugent you will see most your money back!!! Nugent is YG and canvas in series 1...but series 2 has the rookie premiere jersey and rookie breakout acetate

yeah i got lucky i pulled a nugent yg in a tin from walmart a few months ago

i was thinking maybe black diamond is that any good?

Black diamond is a fun break...also fun to put the set together. Always nice to pull a ruby or gold rookie. You also get an UD ice pack. the case hits are the lustrous rookies and hardware champions...the autos are plain, lot of semistars compare to stars. the jersey are duals of one player, but if you collect all 4 of a team it is a puzzle.

SP Authentic will be coming out shortly.Couple Autos in box plus maybe a RPM also.

thanks for all the input i went with certified and black diamond to start i do plan on busting more hockey so ill try out other products in my next breaks
