Quenneville (or however it's spelled, im not too sure) fined $10k for criticizing the officiating after game three, because apparently it's worse to insult an official than slam a guys head into the boards.

Coyotes get 2 players injured in game 1 and our goaile gets rocked, but you don't hear a peep from us. Yotes know how to shut up and play hockey instead of whine like all the Hawks fans. Phoenix has heart and hustle, not excuses. That's why were up 2-0 right now.
Dirty hits have gone both ways. Torres' hit was dirty. Shaw's hit was dirty. Deal with it and play hockey, then you wouldn't be losing the series. EDIT: 2-1 lol

Awful power play by Phoenix. Goal from Chicago was well-deserved. First time there have been 4 consecutive overtime games in a playoff series since 1951.

As for the hits, way different. Shaw has no history and I don't honestly think he went in looking to take Smiths head off. The fact Smith never left the ice makes me think that was a major dive. Did it hurt him? Sure, was it 3 games of hurt? Doesn't look like it.

Smith took a dive and sold the hit to the refs.... It looked like he'd been shot by a sniper from the upper deck the way he threw his arms around and fell to the ice.... My thought is, if the Goalie goes back to play the puck, that makes him a skater and eligible to get hit as one...... I don't think Shaw leaned his head into Smith with the intent to headbutt him.... It just worked out that way.... Was Smith stunned a bit, yes, I'm sure.... Was he injured, NO !! Ive played goalie for years and at a higher level than most... The equipment Smith was wearing on his head is meant to absorb hits much more powerful than the one he got from Shaw.... Torres needs to find the nearest bridge and just jump.... The NHL does not need his type in the game..... That being said, the Hawks look so lackadaisical until the final 2 minutes of regulation every game... If they played with that drive and emotion all 3 periods this series would have been over tonight.......

Crawford needs to go. IMO last nights goal was even worse than the previous one. He was down on the ice and I thought theres no way that puck is getting in. Which was followed by yelling WTF and waking up the house.

5 minute boarding call to Hayes. Probably the right call. Might be the game right there. Phoenix barely has 10 shots on goal this game, and Crawford has let in two of them.
Here's what Chicago needs to do in the offseason. 1) Find a goalie. 2) Either re-acquire Dustin Byfuglien or find someone similar to Big Buff. It is so obvious how big he was for this team during the Cup run two years ago. They haven't found a way to replace him yet.

This. As frustrating as the game was from a Hawks' fan's perspective, how often does a team outshoot its opponent 2-1 (39-20 to be exact) and lose by four goals?

Congrats to the Coyotes.....their first Playoff series victory in Phoenix.
So now the Western Semi-finals are set: #2 St. Louis Blues Vs. #8 Los Angeles Kings #3 Phoenix Coyotes vs. #4 Nashville Predators WOW...all of them are "small market" teams

You might have "fixed" it, but what you fixed it to will be nearly impossible. There are so many teams in the market for solid goaltending this upcoming offseason. You are going to have to give something substantial up to get good goaltending. It is at a premium right now.

Nice demonstration of respect after the game was over. Hawks fans, Hawks players, and Yotes players allacting respectfully towards each other. That's what makes hockey so much different than any other sport. Its vicious, physical, and spiteful competition one minite, then humbling respect the next. Great series.

Well, I know LA isn't a "small market" city....but the TEAM is not exactly big market either.
It's like the Green Bay packers....they're a "small market" city....but a BIG market team. Basically, I equivilate "Small market" teams those that are NOT known for Hockey such as L.A, Florida, Phoenix, Nashville, etc. Whereas "Big market" teams would be the Detroit Red Wings, Boston Bruins, Montreal Canadiens, NY Rangers, Philadelphia Flyers etc. Well whatever...that's just how I see it, no offense intended.
