Default Scott Gomez to Montreal for Chris Higgins

Are you friggin kidding me with this deal. Gomez is a shot player? I think the Rangers just stuck it to the Canadiens big time. They wanted LeCavalier, not this washed up bum.

Habs get Gomez from Rangers

Very smart move by the Rangers.

Philly might have dealt Briere for just for Halak if the Canadiens really wanted him. LeCavalier would be just one more prospect and a first round pick if he would waive his no trade clause.

They have no more cap space with the day's signings though. Tampa is keeping its star, unlike Florida, who couldn't convince Bouwmeester to stay.

Tanguay, Kovalev, and Koivu are all on the market. Would love to have Koivu in Buffalo, they need a leader!
