Jordan Staal rejects a 10 year, 60 million dollar contract from the Pens. Ironic it's one day before the draft? My guess is he might be moved tomorrow.

But seriously, who declines a 10 year, $60 million contract with one of the best teams in the league? His days in Pitt are definitely numbered.

I do think Toronto is a front-runner, though.

I love Staal, but like many have stated if they gotta lock up Crosby then Malkin a year later. what can you do. They just signed Neal and he can produce alot of goals. As long as Sid can stay healthy, we should be okay. I really think Pittsburgh has to bring in new goal tending to compete with flower and try a few new defense men. We'll see, Staal def is a huge part of the fam and would be very missed!

You're joking, right? Do you now how desperate Toronto is for a number one centre?

The Leafs have been searching for a Jordan Staal-type player for years now. Think Brad Richards, Rick Nash, hell, even John Tavares. The Leafs have gone after all of these players unsuccessfully. Staal fits toronto best.

And Staal is a GTA boy, something the Leafs seem to be lacking, and I'd speculate he'd love to come play in the biggest hockey market in the world and his hometown.

Pens just traded Michalek back to the Coyotes for a pick and two others. Paul Martin is next to go. Shero setting up to sign Parise and Suter.

I'm just curious. how is Staal a GTA boy? Didn't they all grow up playing AAA in Thunder Bay? I might just be unaware of his connection to Toronto, but I thought he was a northern Ontario kid.

Look for the Pens to hard after Ryan Suter and Zach Parise if they move Paul Martin today as well. From what I hear, Parise is pretty much a done deal due to him being boyz with Crosby.
