Default UD Messed up again..should I be shocked?

The hit I got opening a box of 08-09 triolgy:

Back of the card is damaged:


Front of the card numbered to /100





Sent it back to UD and got it back yesterday. They fixed the back but look at the front:





Wheres the number?

Its a known thing that UD will send out an unnumbered replacement.

Thats odd.. i dont think they will stamp it for u.. but they should destroyed your card and stamped the number 60 on your new card.. i agree its silly.

I think they will stamp it for you. In the past w/ SPA FB cards they have replaced the RAPs AND restamped it to the card number that you returned originally.

KMD is correct again- no numbers on the replacements-since they have a monopoly in the market place why in the hell would they have to go to that level of effort? Where else you gonna buy licensed hockey products?

your lucky they fixed it at all the last time I sent a damaged I recieved it back not fixed and a letter saying I am no longer able to get cards fixed so I saved all my damaged hockey cards [over 150 total auto's and g/u] and boxes and reciepts for a year and sent it directly to Chris Carlin with a nice nasty letter on how poor there customer service is

So what happened? Did they send you somthing? I guess I shouldnt be complaining then....will having now serial number effect the vaule of the card though?

not yet it was only a month and a half ago so I will see what happens but I sent it signature required so I know he signed for it

Not defending UD at all but I'm guessing this is just a quality control issue and it slipped through as opposed to a mandate by UD to not stamp replaced cards for what? Price savings?

I sent back a damaged Sweet Shot Patrick Roy jersey. I received a new card, new jersey swatches, and the identical numbering that was on the card I sent to be replaced.

There may be less out there without numbering, so your may end up being worth more than the numbered version.

I sure hope so! Well im not planning on selling it anytime soon. But UD is totally messed up for doing this.

I have a gut feeling that I wont be recieving my UD Ultimate Dual Auto Jersey of Gretzky/Messier #/10 card that I redeemed. Reason? I always receive the card before I get an email from UD confirming that the card has been shipped. But this one time that I received an email stating that my card has been shipped. So I waited, waited and waited for about a month and no card. Called and emailed them but all I got was "it was sent" or "wait another week or so". After that I gave up and let it go bc it was like $3 auto card of a hockey player. And two days ago I received an email from UD stating that the dual auto has been shipped!...

Looks like I owe UD an apology...hmmm nah! Got home today and recieved this

I had the same problem once before (not with Hockey but Football) card was damaged I called and sent it in and it came back double stamped. Once in reverse on the top and at the normal location at the bottom, I called again and sent it in again and got it back with no more problems, third time was a charm lol
