I do not know what it is but it is not blood from being game worn. For obvious reasons the manufacturers cannot and will not release a card with exposed blood.

Thats not true. I have had blood on some of my jersey cards. That stain does look like blood to me. Unless someone used some red marker to make it look like blood.

Every blood stained cloth I have ever seen never kept it's bright red color for very long. It always turns a much darker, near brown color in a matter of no time.

Very interesting card though.

what about blood from the person cutting/putting the swatch together, yeah its weird , because i dont see it being a patch and there seems to be nothing from the jersey to explain the reasoning

correct ever have a bloody nose and it drip onto your shirt it dries almost a brownish color, looks more like ketchup hope the seller wasn't eating a hotdog over the card or using it as a napkin

They use special lighting to make it appear bright red still.

I saw a Chipper Jones jersey card that had blood on it so it can happen.

if it is blood, dont go touching it, because you never know if he has some blood disease or something when it was cut off from the jersey
