I've heard the samme. I live 70 miles south of Montreal, and I love the city. And have never had any problems due to being American. I personally have never been more than 30 miles north of MTL, but my father and uncles used to hunt west of Quebec City, and aparently they were VERY unfriendly up there.

I am a bit frightened by all the people who are concerned about solving a 5th Grade Mathematics Question.

I'm a bit frightened that people are NOW just realizing this is on Topps' wrappers.

Get a frigging clue people...Topps has been doing this as long as they have been doing NPN's....

The people on here really make me wonder sometimes...

It's nice you used "tu" instead of "vous"--I'm sure he appreciates that.

The funny thing is, I speak French near fluently. Even if I didn't, wouldn't really be too hard to translate "stupide" and "idiote" haha.

Too bad such a silly war of words had to erupt over a skill-testing question.

It's just a Canadian law, we've seen these things all our lives.

^ - Agreed. I'm glad everyone freaked out and made judgmental opinions about Topps without knowing any facts in the matter.

Its required by Canadian law. End of story.

Wilsooooooooon!

That was kind of funny actually

Like everyone said the skill testing question has been here in Canada for ever.....I believe they started it to ensure that the prizes weren't going to leafs fans or Flyers fans (who answer each question with the number 69 or their own name)

it's a certain law up north, that's why they do it.

Haha, you were actually one of the ppl I had in mind when I made that comment. Unfortunately, all of the other Canadians I interact with don't go on the hockey boards. Crazy, right?

That was my french class for today guys !
Great Statement by the way thanks for the French class. I truly enjoyed refreshing my French. LOl some of us here can read it LOl about 3% can. Please correct me if I didn't understand all of your dialect completely.
Well I think the language barrier and population is something that at this point in time is no excuse for not complying with the outside world. As you know In the US we adapt to all races and languages. It's sad when a place uses its population and differences of language to hide behind a policy they just don't want to be part of. If we are one coexisting world (Canada/US) we should not use these things to differentiate from one another. I think we should all stand together. If the world goes to hell in a hand basket you know the US has your back. And the real question is what if a person truly can't answer a skills math test question (mentally disabled) are you saying they should not collect hobby cards? That's not the way anybody should feel or think. I'm not attacking your statement just that i and others know your country is more forward thinking then the US. We seem to use brawn not brain most of the time when it comes to issues in the world. So I don't like the fact that this process is like taking steps backwards when we all know (US) your country fights so hard to take steps forward in issues involving human rights. I know it just a silly question on the pack of cards. But forest fires start from one very tiny spark.

I'd also like to know why this was placed in the Hockey section. Does the OP think that Canadians only collect hockey cards? Sterotyping Canadians as only into hockey makes me think that maybe the OP hates Canada.
