Every product they make is sold out, but you can still buy it 3 years later.

its sold out to their distributors. and people dont buy as much ITG as UD its not fair to compare when they dont have a license but still manage to produce the best cards still. and no redemptions.. that something upper deck can never beat or will..

I don't agree at all that ITG makes the best cards (without a license, that's hard to do).

Sometimes UD drives me nuts but I sold this dual patch auto for $1700 and a Nugent-Hopkins rookie patch auto/99 from the Cup for $2800, I've never gotten a card worth that much from tons of Superlative and other ITG(but I still like it, my 2 Superlative boxes are arriving at my LCS tomorrow)

It's tough to hold the type of value that Upper Deck has without an NHL license.

ITG sales are usually competitive within a few weeks of release, then drop in value quickly. It isn't impossible for an ITG card to go for around the amount of your Gretzky, if the conditions are right.

It's very, very rare, but certainly not impossible.

You know why they have less redemptions? It's alot easier to track down retired players that are sitting on their couches watching reruns of Matlock.

Man did I get killed with my superlative today, nothing scan worthy! box 352 and 1103. I'm trying to rmember them, I left them at my LCS for ebay(in a week or so, he's going on vacation) I did get 4 'hand numbered' cards numbered to 9 or 10( but nothing special about them, just plain jerseys or autos), P.Roy Famous Fabrics jersey card 3/9, a gold auto 4/10 of some prospect(I can't remember, Murray?), Lindros jersey 1/40, Lundqvist jersey/40 , Sakic patch/10, Trevor Linden jersey auto. There went $780 of the Gretzky/Lemiuex dual patch auto I sold.....

Sorry to hear that man but what you got from that nice dual auto card is like a holy grail almost ,very tough to beat if not impossible... and its shame there is no gretzky in itg cards.... there is no doubt that getting thoose jackpot cards from ud you can score big amount of cash.

I can feel the pain from here....especially after having that card and spending it on anything ITG.

Not sure about that Clark, I'm thinking cardozo feels pretty happy on his ITG purchase above all his other purchases this year;

Wow Smythe, nice! I didn't mean to sound too sour-grapey about my 2 Superlatives, but it was the latest of 3 beatings from products I bought from Dr Price ($1450 box of 1600 Penn Ave (Gerald Ford and Herbert Lehman) and a $1550 case of Music Music(hey at least the I sold my Beatles redemption for $225 and it was eliminated in the first round of cuts.) It's just rare to buy almost $3800 worth of boxes and lose about $3K. I know it's win-some lose-some but I'm losing faith in trying his high end stuff.

That's a great card but it didn't even pay for the box....the ending time may have hurt the sale.
