He may not be well known because he played so long ago, but he was a great player. He also played mainly for Quebec and Montreal, which helps with his hobby appeal.
This is his first auto in any product, I believe, so I would probably throw it up with a really high BIN and see what happens. |

That is a fantastic pull. His auto is one of my dream pulls for sure. Congrats!

Don't take less then 1500.00$...that's being really modest....he was the first "goal" scorer in the league, had a record of 44 goals in 22 games back in the 1910's, I am a huge Habs fan, and have never seen a Joe Malone auto....fantastic pull, I wish I had the funds for it.

Did some quick checking on Classic Auctions, where a lot of old autographs and documents sell, and over the years Malone's signature on index cards and letters have sold for about $400-ish in raw form. Since people seem to be more willing to spend money on certified cut autographs in cards (or don't know they can be had for less) then you could get around $800-$1000 for this one. I would say $1500 is a stretch but then again who knows. They don't hit the market often and this is the first certified cut that I know of so I could be wrong.
