Default Devante Smith-Pelly Autopen Fail?

Hey everyone,

If you didn't know, the topic that Devante Smith-Pelly autopens certified autographs is being investigated. Check out all his Contenders and The Cup autographs on Ebay... they are all the EXACT same. Here's an example on one Contenders card in which his autopen machine must have slipped near the end. I mean, if he really signed this those double marker lines wouldn't be shown.

Devante Smith Pelly ? Rookie Auto ? 10 11 Panini Contenders 800 | eBay

What do you guys think about this?

Pathetic for the guy. You get paid to sign your name. What else could you ask for? I was considering on PCing him early last season. Good thing I didn't.

Yeah I know, it's not like he has to do it for free out of the goodness of his heart! If you use a machine then it's not your signature. I like him and his style as a player, but I agree, that is pathetic.

it was announced before that he indeed used an autopen for many of his cards, what a jerk.

Doesnt the auto usually say on the back of the card, certified, or signed in the presence of a company employee. Do any of his cards say anything other than that?

I think only Topps says their employees witness the signing. Panini just wirtes that they guarentee authenticity, and I'm pretty sure UD writes a longer version of what Panini says.

Yeah. Especially after seeing some pathetic attempts at "autographs" now. (See Chris Stewart)
