Owner posturing and Fehr looking like a complete dunce for pushing this into the year when with what little changes have been made looks like they could have hammered this out last off season. Well, it looks like it will be seven years until the next lockout, thats a positive at least. |

I am THRILLED this damn thing is finally over! Not sure who finally came to their senses, but thank god we get NHL hockey this year!

Wow - I am really surprised, and overall glad - I still think that they have done themselves untold damage in the USA at the precise moment they were poised to make a move marketing-wise (US team in major market wins cup with US-born captain) but time will tell. Canadian puckheads sure to come back (most never left) and maybe that will keep things afloat until the next lockout!

Especially the past seven or so years, those have been serious snore-fests.

Just getting back into Hockey after last years Playoff run by the Rangers. So i am glad the lockout is over and i will now get to see if Rick Nash will make a difference.
Another way i think the Lockout helped the Rangers now that we are going to have hockey is Gaborik wont miss as much game time lol

I'm so pumped for Atlantic division matchups and playoffs, nothing beats flyers rangers and flyers penguins games. I'm just glad everyone is playing more than half their games this season and that I have something to keep me occupied until baseball season.

@Real_ESPNLeBrun NHL sent out memo to teams tonight saying Jan 19 puck drop is most probable, however if ratification process goes fast, Jan 15 still in play

Rumor has it Flyers - Pens in a Saturday matinee to open up the season on NBC. Pierre McGuire is working feverishly thinking of new ways to praise Crosby for another 60 minutes.
