Now that the lockout is over and details are being finalized, how will the card companies respond? Will there be more 12-13 products? What happens to the rookies? Will it be a double rookie class for next years product??

It has been business as usual for UD and Panini. Products have gone under the radar thanks to the lockout. Both companies always take a long time to release products. It's been this way for a few years now.

So in theory we could be looking at prime, dominion, Cup (or similar) out eventually?

They need to do a double rookie class in everything but UD Series 2 imo. The Young Guns are fun regardless, and those need to stay the same. But everything else should be doubled up, look at what happened with basketball cards.
