Leafs? loleafs

Canadian teams in general dissapoint.

Detroit gets really ugly in their current shape.
I don't think Canadian teams will disappoint. I think we could see as many as four (Vancouver, Ottawa, Toronto, and Edmonton) Canadian teams in the playoffs.

Remember, Toronto was in a playoff position up until February, so if they start well again this year, they could make a run. Especially if we get Luongo.

I will say Minnesota vs Blues in the Western Conference finals

NY Rangers vs Pittsburgh Penguins in the east

Blues vs Rangers final with Rangers winning it all

Rick Nash finally gets the hobby love he deserves, Lundquivst gets the Vezina, Crosby gets Hart and Justin Schultz takes ROY honors as a defensemen and leads all first year players in scoring...yes I said it

That optimistic. But I can see the Leafs getting in if they can get Lu.

Definitely optimistic on Toronto and Edmonton, but I think Ottawa has a very good chance of making it in. If Anderson can stay healthy and perform the way he did for the latter part of last season, I could see Ottawa potentially competing for the division.

It looks as though the Leafs will get Bobby Lou, which will give our playoff odds a major boost. I'm not completely sold on the team (2nd line scares the hell out of me), but I think the Leafs can sneak in this year.

As for Edmonton, if the young guns perform, and Justin Schultz is steady on defense, they could very well make it in. If Dubnyk stinks it up, however, it could be another lottery pick for Edmonton.

Do you think it favors teams with old guys when they have to play 4 games in 7 days?

Buffalo Sabres will be the Stanley Cup Champs.
Ryan Miller will be the Veznia Winner.
Steve Ott will win the Hart Trophy.

I agree..its crap how many west coast road trips the wings take each year. Is there still talk of them moving to eastern conference next year?

Should be some surprising teams this year. I expect Wild, Oilers and Avalanche to make the playoffs and make noise this year.

Caps should be good. A short season going to help them. Them seem to always crap out early.

While I am not really thrilled with our goalie situation, I will still continue to chant:

GO AVS!
