my prediction...Kings won't make it out of first round. Stamkos wins scoring title. rangers make a real run at the cup. my red wings continue to get old. Rinne will be the best goal tender at the end of the year. Tim thomas won't be missed. And edmonton gets another top draft pick.

Crosby leads the league in scoring, wins the Hart Trophy and takes home his 2nd Stanley Cup!

And then you woke up. I'll say Kings win the west & eventually the cup again, Rangers win the East. Islanders or Columbus get first overall pick for 13-14 draft. Edmonton starts their golden years with a deep playoff run, possibly vs LA in conferance finals, but will probably be taken out in semi's due to lack of solid goaltending. My Flyers will face Pittsburgh in playoffs, hopefuly win again, then get taken down by NYR. Go Flyers!

Edmonton? They have NO, and I repeat NO DEFENSE. It's actually worse than WVU's defense this year.

Philly didn't have any defense last year either, but we still made it to the semi's. I think Edmonton has enough firepower upfront they will be fine until they get into the playoffs. Especially if that Schultz kid lives up to HALF the hype he's received. I think the biggest problem they are facing is goaltending. Every Stanley Cup team started with a solid goalie..

Even though I am clearly a Kings fan evident by my pc, I am also realistic in their chances are not great to run the table again. Kopitar tweaked his knee Saturday and could be out optimistically a couple weeks and Quick is not cleared to play yet after back surgery. I can hope Bernier would be up to the challenge if Quick isn't back anytime soon.

A short season favors a team like the Rangers with all the older guys they have especially since the schedule is supposed to be in-conference only. They'll never leave the eastern time zone until the finals unless they play Detroit.

Yep, this is correct - Detroit continues to be poppycocked by placement in the Western conference and they could well get torn up by their flight schedule this "season."

Hawks VS Bruins SCF with the Bruins winning in 7

Oilers get another lottery pick

Quick comes back down to earth and the Kings fade out of the PO's.

Leafs? loleafs

Canadian teams in general dissapoint.

Detroit gets really ugly in their current shape.
