Need Help on Gordie Howe

Got this card a few years ago. Wandering what the Grade of A means has it been trimmed. If it has what would it be worth. It is in really good shape. Would appreciate any help. Thanks

Given that this is a vintage card, the "A" does mean that the card has been altered or trimmed. Still a gorgeous card, though....

does it? i assume it to mean that the original owner didn't pony up the $ to have it graded, but paid the bare minimum to have it slabbed. i know that at least PSA will say on the slab that it's been altered in addition to being authentic, but maybe SCG is different. i'm sure a quick e-mail or phone call to their customer service will answer the question for the OP. it's a dynamite looking card.
