I am and always have been an anti-Leaf fan living in Toronto (for many reasons) but I have to say good luck to them. Burke and co. has built up a good team, defensively very strng and that is the most important. This will fall on Reimer to stay hot, lots of pressure on him.

As long as they don't have to play the Pens to get there, I hope they go to the conference finals - more HRR for next year's cap.

That was a pretty dominant performance by the Bruins in that game. I don't think the Leafs had possession of the puck for more than 5 total minutes. Unfortunately it will probably be another few centuries before they compete for the Cup.

On a sidenote, what's happened to Dion Phaneuf? The guy looked like he should be playing in the minors last night.

After playing what I think Leaf fans would agree a 'non-factor' game Wed. night the coaching staff deemed Kessels absence at today's practice as a 'Maintenance' day?

How the #@#@#@#@ do you give a guy, who lord knows needs the practice the day off one game into the playoffs! Thanks Toronto for a good laugh.

And the staff did say it was NOT injury related, got to think there were a few pissed off teammates at that practice, maybe he went to the Back Bay to get his hair frosted.

Kessel needs to play the game he played all year: a more rounded, two way playmaker, instead of the one way "sniper" we have seen from him in the past. If he can do that, and the rest of the team can do their job, the Leafs can take this to 7 games. Not sure what it is with playing against Boston, but he needs to get his #@#@#@#@ together soon.

As for the Phaneuf comment from the guy above, you are 100% correct. Phaneuf is a shell of his former self, and is damn near being a defensive liability (by playing against other teams top lines standards, mind you). Hopefully Lupul will grab the "C" next season, because he and McClement are the only ones who truly deserve it.

What makes a good player 'great' is heart and leadership qualities, two things I don't believe I've ever seen attached to Phil Kessel's name.

He's intimidated by the Boston fans unfortunately for him, and has let them get into his head.

As far as the Leafs in general, if everyone on that team gave the effort JVR did then as a Bruins fan I'd be very concerened going forward.

AMAZING WIN!!! Leafs did everything they needed to do in Boston. Pick up one and get home ice advantage. You'd best believe the ACC will be a tough place to play in .

Kessel finally getting one, and it couldn't have come at a better time.

JVR and Grabovski have been outstanding thus far, and Lupul had a very good game too.

Now comes the fun part: games at the ACC. If you aren't familiar with their work, I recommend you check out some clips from the early 2000's in the playoffs. Quite the building .

Go Leafs Go!

As a Canadian, I am embarrassed that someone would think trash talk based upon a terror attack that caused innocent deaths is okay. It's too bad another Leaf fan didn't at least say something to him.

I guess there's always at least one bad apple in the bunch, though. In Boston the other night it was this:

Y! SPORTS

Yes I had read about that a$$hole sucker punching the guy in Boston. I think I posted it in the B's thread here. I understand these two idiots are in no way indicative of either team's fanbase nor their city. There just always have to be losers who take their love of professional sports teams WAY too serious.

This was in response to the POS Bruin's fan blindsiding a Leafs fan in the stairwell after Game 2.

Please read my above posts. I mentioned my response to that incident.

Both the sign holder and the "puncher(s)" are obvious scum. But you're saying that someone getting beat up (which is a shame, and I hope the person(s) involved are charged) should enable someone to respond by holding up a sign mocking the motto of a city that was just attacked by terrorists? Wow. You should really be ashamed of yourself.
