Default Toronto Maple Leafs Fans Talk Thread!

Seems like every other team has one, so...

Good start for the Leafs. Liking that Mike Kostka. Good Ajax kid, as Grapes would say!

Kadri with a good start. Grapes was right about this kid!

Like the way Randy is coaching the team. Tough group. Brown with a good fight. Hope to see Orr drop em soon as well!

Great win by the Leafs! Tops of the league and UNDEFEATED!!!

Two and a half great periods by the Leafs, but a rough last ten minutes. Gave the Habs some hope.

Hope Kess can keep up the pace. I'll kill in my fantasy league!

Nice to see the Leafs with some toughness. Carlyle dressing Orr is a nice bonus. East has a lot of tough teams, he will find some action.

Four minutes in and two fights already, both W's for the Leafs!

Let's hope Kessel gets the "monkey off his back" and pots #1!

Great hit by Dion as well

Don't think Orr won that .. Rupp got him good early, it was even.

Orr got the takedown, and landed some good punches at the end. Rupp landed a nice one right before being taken down, though.

I'd give the win to Orr, but that may be my Leaf bias

Well, the Leafs are overloaded with Americans. I guess the Ryder Cup is an option.

Couldn't be any worse than this year's team USA, right???

FYI, I am a dual citizen - lived first 22 years of my life in southwestern Ontario. Watched the Leafs every SAT on CBC and every WED on CHCH for probably 18 of them - it turned me into the diehard Redwings fan that I am today.

Haha, yeah, I've been watching HNIC for years. Never gets old!

I remember thinking of switching over back in 92 when Ottawa got a team, but decided to stick in as a Leaf fan as Doug Gilmour was tearing it up. Sigh...

Good on you for being a Wings fan. There are times I wish I had followed suit with many of my friends and switched over. But then again, I love mediocrity. I thrive off of it

Well thank you for Phil Kessel! All those shots, I'm having trouble keeping count of how many goals he's scored this year. He must have like 90 by now!

You guys got ripped off. That trade belonged to the Leafs .

What a goal by Frattin! Leafs win, hallelujah the Leafs win!!!

Don't like the Buds blowing the lead in the third, but it's nice to come away with a W. Franson and McClement looked fantastic tonight, as did Matt Frattin.

Nice to see all those Leaf fans down in Buffalo. We're everywhere folks!

1-1 after one. Leafs haven't been able to take advantage of opportunities, although I like the amount of shots on net.

Kessel with a few good tries. Hope he pots one tonight!

Reimer looking good, although he's given up some rebounds he should've held on to. I'm sure Carlyle will let him know.

Gord Clark may be my favorite anthem singer. He could even be better than Lyndon Slewidge!

Perhaps my favorite Grapes quote ever: (to Zdeno Chara) "I look like a midget next to ya!".

Atta boy Grapes .

Another terrific loss for the Leafs. Something just isn't working with this team. Could it be that we don't have a #1 centre?

Seems like the offense and defense are never together. The offense scores a lot? Reimer lets five goals in. Offense can't get anything going? Reimer holds them to two goals or less.

Leafs kicking Habs ass was a thing of beauty.
Orr, MaClearn and Fraser add a level of excitement to Leafs. No one enforces better than Orr and Leafs smurfs know no one is gonna touch them. Why you have a tough 4th line, it just makes your team feel much more confortable. Loved when Habs tried messing with Orr and Prust taking a shot at Leafs soft players. WHat does Colt do as any good enforcer. Goes out and like missle goes after Habs little bitches. Loved his one punch KO of Bourque. MacLearn toying with Georges. Sad he had to step up. Habs as soft as marshmellow. Moen was useless as usual. Should have dressed White.

Absolutely tremendous win last night. Everything seemed to click.

I like the look of this team. Carlyle is ushering in a new era of Toronto hockey, one with toughness and grit, while still maintaining skill and speed.

If there was a game for White to start, it would've been last night. There's nobody else on Montreal's roster that can handle any of Toronto's tough guys.

So glad to see Colton on an nhl squad again, and with a very important role. I guess a competent coach does make a difference

I like the look of the Leafs! Hopefully they can pick up a win over Philly tomorrow night!

I would think Philly dresses Sestito, Shelley and Rinaldo tonight to match Leafs toughness. Should be a fun game.

Bea-UTIFUL game tonight. These Leafs look to be the real deal!

Reimer's injury didn't look great, but Scrivens has looked alright. I really hope Reimer makes a speedy recovery and gets back to 100% soon, he'll be needed if the Leafs are to make the playoffs.
