OH MY...>>
sold for a smooth 1k
WOW, I was actually pleased to see that.
Gretzky + that patch equals = hockey card perfection
cool patch, but I've seen better

prove it...lol that's beautiful.... and a player of that caliber and legit, i dare you to find better. |

This in spades. There's a 08-09 Honorable Numbers /66 Mario Lemieux with a Stanley Cup patch that is right up there with this. It was proven as legit too. Don't have a scan of it though. |
Wow just wow
put a hawks player on that card and its my holy grail
Very nice card but aesthetically it would be much more appealing if player/team/patch were aligned. I would rather have a Gretzky Oilers patch than, say, a patch from when he played with St. Louis, for example. Just sayin'. I actually dislike it when card companies -coughUpperDeckcough - stick a jersey from a player's former team when the on-card photo has him in his current team's uniform.

Speaking of this, I once opened a box of Exquisite Basketball, pulled a Shaq patch /50. The Jersey on the front was from the Suns, the pic on the front was from the Heat, and the story on the back was about a game he played in for the Lakers. |

But it's an all-star patch and he is picture in an all-star uniform |

yeah that still loses some of the appeal for me. I think people would be much happier having like a Steve Yzerman giant Redwings patch over one from his all-star jersey with a SJ Sharks emblem from the 1997 all-star game. Its a very cool card, but honestly would rather have something else than a Gretzky with a big Blackhawks logo on it |
No I would much rather the rare hard to find All Star Patch, he has plenty of Kings/Rangers Patches, I'm sure the All Star Patches are much more scarce.
