Seller Also has this one up as BIN for cheaper and the card looks a hell of a lot better with a grade of 9. This is the Topps RC
1979 Topps #018 Wayne Gretzky Rookie PSA 9 - eBay (item 190191252539 end time Jan-23-08 12:45:13 PST)

Maybe the O-pee-chee is alot harder to get a 9 on ? The card is pretty sharp other than the fuzzy cuts on the edges. I guess PSA doesn't frown on fuzzy cuts ???
OPC Gretz rookies ALWAYS sell for about 3 - 4X the amount of Topps in the same condition.

It should be cut like that - all OPC cards from the 80's were. If it did not have edges like that then I would suspect that it would be trimmed.

Rumor was that all OPC were cut at the end of the run of all Topps from that year. Cutters were not sharpened and that is how the edges look like this on the OPC. Butter knives would have done a better job.

It sells for more than the Topps cause it is way tougher to find.
