Default No Malkin, No Problem

No Malkin, No Talbot, No Kennedy, No Gonchar and the Pens keep on rolling...even with Brent Johnson in goal. Scored twice in the final 3 minutes in what was pretty much a home game in Columbus tonight because most of the fans there were Pens fans!

I've always liked the Pens. Tried getting Jagr's auto back in '91 after a game against the Northstars. He was in the back of the bus and turned to look at us and was wearing those fake glasses with the googly eyes on springs. I hope they repeat this year.

No problem Rob ? They won via shootout not shutout and needed a goal that crawled over the line that even Crosby called lucky. A win is a win but I wouldn't use the words "no problem".

BTW who drafted and stole Goligoski late in the BO fantasy league boys
Now if only I can get Briere, Savard, Lucic, Hossa and Luongo back some time soon I have an all star team on IR.

Did anyone see how many Pens fans were in the house at Columbus? Columbus should be outright embarrassed and ashamed.

Hey Rob - you and Sid have the same amount of goals since Malkin got hurt. Way to step up.

Hey Rob - Pens got blanked again tonight. Glad to see the great Crosby stepping up in his absence to the tune of ZERO goals. A big 2 SOG and a -2 tonight. I told you Pens fans a couple years ago when you were all singing the praise of Crosby on here...Crosby isn't even the best player on his team, let alone in the NHL. Malkin, wether he takes a few shifts off or not, is the best player in Pittsburgh.

"No Malkin , no problem" LMAO Should say...No Malkin, no playoffs.

When's the next junk punch coming from frustration? Caps still winning without Ovechkin, so who's the better team? LOL GL trying to do what you did last year come from behind in the last month to make the playoffs. Maybe Crosby is upset he will no longer be the face of Hockey and a Russian is!!

So they are on a 3 game losing streak in NOVEMBER. Big deal. There are ebbs and flows to a hockey season and this looks to be a low for the Pens. Malkin, Gonchar, Kennedy, Letang and now Orpik are hurt. Do you honestly expect them to lite the world on fire without those guys? Yes I would like to see a little more offensive life out of the Pens and Crosby right now, but it is still way to early to give the Pens no chance.

Don't forget they are still in 1st place in IMO the best conference in hockey. And Eric, you seem to not realize that comparing the Pens to the Caps is like apples to oranges at this point. The Pens are leading the best conference while the Caps are beating up on a bunch of bottom feeders. Congrats you beat Florida twice, lets throw you a ticker tape parade. Look what happens when they face decent competition, Columbus and NJ. Oh, you lost both, who would have thought. And I'll throw the Islanders in there for good measure even though they are the cellar dwellers of the Atlantic.

They are 2 points ahead of the Devils and have played 3 more games than the Devils. Devils have been playing without Elias for all but 1 game of the season and have Pandolfo and Martin out. Flyers also have 4 games in hand to make up 5 points.

My post was made more to break Solts chops since he always seems to disappear from the Pens chatter when things are not going well. Only time I think he ever posted when things were down was when he was writing them off last year after the game 5 loss to Philly. Talk about your fair weather fan

That's odd, today's standings have the Devils ahead of the Pens. Must be a typo.

And we are one game closer to having Scotty come home in March this year.

Now now, he did hit the post a couple times last night Flyers have to put a stop to the Devils road winning streak on Monday since the Pens couldn't last night.

It was nice seeing Mark Letestu called up. He is a quality young player and had a pretty good game tonight. Sucks that we lose yet another key piece of the team to injury though with Kunitz being inactive. I guess my prayers of cutting Chris Bourque are falling on deaf ears. That guy is a far cry from his father.

Sorry I couldn't keep up after 2 cases of Triple Threads, 20 cases of Star Wars and 10 cases of UD Series 1. Kind of requires a little attention.
