New to collecting hockey what should I buy best cards or at least fun to break

Buy anything you like bud. For opening boxes personally I'd wait till next years products, it's going to be a double rookie class so better chances for nice rookies.

Yeah, if you really want to open products, open older stuff or wait until next year. Busting this year's products is really a crapshoot. If you pull a nice veteran/short printed rookie, you'll do well, but otherwise you'll lose money and value. Products like UD Series One, who's subset of rookies (Young Guns) is often regarded as the premier rookie card in hockey (other than The Cup) is going down in value daily because of the weak rookie checklist.

With a product like The Cup or Dominion (extremely high end), or UD Ultimate (high end), the odds of losing money is much lower than with lower end products.

Thanks this info helps alot. I will wait till next year products when do they start coming out so I can watch for them.

If you can find it, 10/11 or 11/12 upper deck series 1 or 2.
