Default Best Hockey Product to Break?

Hockey noob here. My interest has gone up a ton since the end of last season and I am now getting to the point where I want to start opening some hockey products.

Dominion, The Cup, and Prime seem to be the top dogs, but what is the best hockey product to purchase?

I want to collect and not worry about selling, so should I just go with one of the big three for the higher end hits?

Thanks for any information/opinions you might have!

Those are all great products. Something middle range I would look at too is artifacts or contenders. Both have nice base sets couple with a good bit of auto and mem hits.

I am a collector and not a reseller or whatever they name themselves these days. With that said...honestly if you can afford it go with The Cup and Dominion. If you are into the Prime go for it but I'm not into it that much. Great thing about not worrying about resale and just collecting is you can choose which you like.

I choose to open boxes very rarely as I like certain cards and normally for the price of the boxes I can buy the ones I want. (although I do buy boxes to tame the box opening rush every once in a while).

I like to go with quality and not quantity.

Hope that helps

Another fun box to break for you to consider would be ITG History of Hockey. The art cards are very cool especially if you are looking to collect and build up a hockey PC as all the cards are slabbed.

I do enjoy the Artifacts baseball products, so I'll do some research on the Artifacts hockey. Thanks for the suggestion.

I've been slowly headed that way after getting back into collecting this summer. So many new products came out and I wanted to try them out and see what I liked best.

Watched a few Cup box breaks and it looks very nice.

Just watched a Dominion break too. This guy sold me on Dominion...or whatever else he does in life.

Since resell doesn't count, Prime is the best hockey product from last year. Dominion is a close 2nd.

You can always buy regular UD to collect Young Guns. There is always a following on those.
