Same here. But truth be told, I'm almost positive both teams will claw their way into the playoffs. Way too much talent and experience to miss the playoffs in weak-ish conference. Won't complain if they don't, though.

I'm not sure if you're actually trying to have an actual sports conversation or doing your usual homer ignoring everything else but penguins self? I hope actual sports conversation seeing you're a fan of my teams rival.

I dunno about the Flyers, watching them play sometimes is f**king brutal. They are so damn inconsistent and their defense is suspect at best. I hope they make it obviously, but not the feeling I'm getting right now.

All he was saying is he hopes the Flyers and Rangers don't make the playoffs. I don't see how that's ignoring everything but the Pens. But anyway..............

However, Bryz has been ok, and I think they'll eventually hunker down and utilize their talent and make the playoffs. I agree their D is suspect, and if they fix that, I have no doubt they'll be in the playoffs. I still wouldn't be suprised to see them eventually enter the division title picture.

Vokoun looks so lost in goal. I am a die hard Penguins fan. There are 2 players on the team I wish they would get rid of. One is Vokoun. Still not sure why they signed him. Also the other player I wish would be gone is Tyler Kennedy. He will shoot the puck when he has no shot, but will pass the puck when he has an open shot.

Again, I'll say it once again about the Penguins:

They are a great team for entertainment purposes but as far as winning in the playoffs, the team as it is right now does not have a chance. They make money for the owners and the NHL, so I don't see any sort of shake up here.

You said it perfectly, my friend.

As far as the discipline you mentioned, this team would probably have 32ish points right now if they had even "average" disicpline. So frusterating to watch as a fan. But like you said: the organization continues to make $ (TV ratings are at an all-time high) for both itself, and the league.

As much as I agreed w/ Therrian being fired, as the players had simply stopped responding to him, I'd take him back in a heartbeat. Would love to see a coach actually hold his players accountable for stupid penalties and half-a$$ efforts. This team has the talent to be a Cup contender, but will never happen as that scumbag Dan Bylsma is the head coach. "Just get to our game and we'll be fine." Yep, you got it bub. Dude should set himself on fire.

Vokoun has got to be the worst goalie in the NHL - 16 goals against in his last 2 1/2 games. Terrible rebound control, slow as hell going post to post, and when he goes down on a play he's not getting back up until the next commercial break.

No denying that was an entertaining game though - and even without Malkin they got 7 goals against Price.

Way to come back vs TB. Decent game all around, but damnit Fleury. You can't let in crap like that 3rd goal.

Zach Boychuk has been waived. As bad as he was, he was still doing better than Tyler Kennedy. That guy needs to go. Yesterday.

Paul Martin continues to heal and could play vs Philly. Hopefully he's ready, but with a busy weekend and a tough schedule ahead of them this month, I wouldn't be hurt if they kept him out for one more game. Pens will probably lose to Philly tommorrow anyway, so it isn't gonna matter.
