How is 06/07 SP Authentic?

I just bought a box off ebay for about $105. How hard is it to get one of the 05/06 year's Future Watch autos? How many Crosbys/Ovechkins were inserted into these? Thanks.

Well, I like it better than 05-06 just for the fact you can still get all the big rookies out of the product except for the patch auto variations. I busted a case of 05-06 when it came out and didn't get a whole lot out of it. The best card was probably the Gilbert Brule auto/patch /100 if that tells you anything. I only bought about 3-4 boxes of 06-07 and pulled an Ovechkin Future Watch auto, so needless to say I'm more than happy that I pulled that. I'm not sure how much of the 05-06 stuff made it into 06-07

Thanks, I wasn't really understanding how it made it in either... Did they just reprint some more cards or something? It was super hard to get a Crosby or Ovechkin in 05/06 I busted like 3-4 boxes and got a bunch of no-name rookie autos. Hopefully I get a Malkin or a Staal out of this one at the very least.

From my understanding, they made so much of it and expected to release another "wave" of 05-06, but that never happened and they had a bunch of the autos etc leftover that was never released in the 05-06 so they added it to 06-07. I guess that's what happens when you make tons and tons of something and it doesn't pan out the way you think. I'm not 100% sure if that's what happened, but it sounds logical to me. I can definitely see UD trying to make the most they could especially with stellar rookies like Crosby and Ovechkin in the same year.

I also did manage to pull a Staal Future Watch auto out of the few boxes I did open of 06-07

I opened a case when it came out. I typically pulled an extra 05-06 RC auto and a RC per box. I did pull an 05-06 patch auto as well. Best was same as above...an Ovechkin FW auto. It's like getting two boxes for the price of one.

Unfortunetly it was a redemption.

Pulled 5/8/08 (the day that lightning struck!) and sent to me in this form mid-September.

Yes it is 10/10. Hard-signed too. That's what i like most about SPA.

Keeping the card, the scratched-off redemption piece, the box it came in, and a mint copy of the Beckett awards issue describing it as the "autographed card of the year" forever and ever!

UD said 7 have been redeemed, meaning there are 3 left. This is as of September, and this is if they are actually telling the truth!

Including mine, I've known of 3 being pulled, so it sounds freasible.

Sweet at least I have a shot still. There are probaby some really nice Triple and Duals as well as more Quads left.

Yup most boxes had 3-5 autos, with one from 05-06 ....... mine had 8 autos, if you count the quad.
