Default Help on which hobby boxes to buy

I'm very new to collecting hockey cards and was wondering what were some good hobby boxes to buy. I've previously collected baseball cards and have always liked the bowman products. Not looking to buy the super high end stuff, but maybe something in the range of $70-$100. Would appreciate any advice, thanks

UD Series 1 & 2 Hockey is a decent product in that price range, however the Rookie crop in this short season is not as strong as seasons past, and Series 2 was not even produced this year.

I would recommend Artifacts Hockey as the Jersey/Patch cards are always great and with the Rookie Redemptions being fufilled later this year, you have a chance to get some of the marquee rookies who played this season!

Stick with Upper deck base product- those young guns are equivalent to bowman draft rookies. Get boxes from previous years, they are still pretty cheap and you can pull some awesome rookies that aren't impossible to find.

Black Diamond is a good product too.

Between The Pipes is my favorite set. At $85/box, you can't go wrong.

If you like goalies, that's your pick.

For the new stuff in that price range, Black Diamond is decent. Upper Deck is risky because of the poor rookie crop this year. Steer clear from Certified!!

I like 2011-12 Rookie Anthology. It's a good mix of everything.
