Don't be so sure about the Pens having an easy series against the Isles - I hope you're right, but I see it going 6.

Pens in 6
Sens in 7 NYR in 7 Bruins in 6 Hawks in 5 Wings in 6 Nucks in 7 Kings in 7 Very tough to predict future rounds at this point, but here goes: Conference Semi's Pens over Sens in 6 NYR over Bruins in 6 Hawks over Wings in 7 Kings over Nucks in 5 Conference Finals Pens over NYR in 7 (series of the year) Hawks over Kings in 6 Cup Final Hawks over Pens in 7 Much of this is what I think the Pens are capable of. However, I see them slipping up somewhere.

anyone who copies my scantron is going places for free
Here goes: Quarters - pitt over nyi 4-1. tavares is a beast but they don't have the depth to trade offensive body shots with such a deep roster. - montreal over ottawa 4-3. It's going to be carried largely by offensive defense, but I bet conacher gets hot. - dc over nyr 4-2. Momentum carries them easily through the first round. Lots of scoring. - boston over toronto 4-2. -chicago over min 4-1 - anaheim over detroit 4-1 - sjs over van 4-2 - stl over lak 4-3 Quarters - pitt over bos 4-3 - was over mon 4-2 -chi over sjs 4-2 -stl over ana 4-3 Semis Was over pitt 4-3 Stl over chi 4-3 Was in 6 Pencils down. Sorry I stopped giving color commentary, my girlfriend and I are leaving for new orleans for a week in solely a few hours and she walked in mid rant. Some other time. See everyone soon |

I respect your opinion and this isn't meant to start any poop. I picked the Rags to win in 6. I agree that the Caps enter the playoffs as one of the NHL's hottest teams. They are absolutely a good hockey team, but when you look at their record of non-SE teams, it's far from impressive. Beating up on SE teams is nothing to hang your hat on. I know Ovechkin is on fire right now, too. But I don't see Torts allowing his players to leave Ovie wide-ass open above the left circle for easy PP goals. Also, possibly the most important thing a team can have going for them in the playoffs, the Rags have a hot goalie in Lundqvist. After a so-so start to the season, I believe he's regained last year's Vezina form. Unless the Rags play awful D (which I don't think they will), it's going to be tough to consistently put more than 2 passed Lundy. It's possible, but again, will be very tough.
I certainly wouldn't be shocked to see the Caps win, but I think the Rags take this series.

I cant believe you all have the ducks beating detroit so easily! Detroit wins in 5 or 6 games then most likely loses in the next round IMO.

I agree! I picked the Wings in 6. Wings are playing good hockey right now, and the Ducks after a ferocious start, have been around .500 hockey for a while now.

I can't believe everyone in this thread picking the Kings. I have a St Louis / Chicago West Finals and Pitts / Bruins East finals. Also have some financial implications on the line, picked the Blues to win the cup at the beginning of the year in a little town called Vegas
