Panini America Provides Live Updates from 2012-13 Rookie Anthology Hockey QC

May 24, 2013

by Tracy Hackler

I arrived at Panini America HQ this morning a little later than usual and hastily docked my laptop, fired up the computer, logged in and waited the mandatory few minutes for everything to open, sync and get user-ready. Almost immediately afterward, I knew that this particular Friday would be more rewarding than most — and that has nothing to do with the fact that we’re heading into a three-day weekend. Honest.
Instead, it has everything to do with Panini America NHL Brand Manager Chris Barr graciously filling my email inbox today with one saliva-inducing sneak peek after another detailing the in-progress Quality Control process for 2012-13 Rookie Anthology Hockey. Today, Barr’s office is not down the hall and on the other side of the building — it’s across town at the company printing facility, where Rookie Anthology is rolling on the production line as we speak and will soon begin shipping to hobby shops across North America.

Already today, Barr has provided being-there, doing-that previews of some of 2012-13 Rookie Anthology Hockey’s keynote inclusions (our first NHL Prizms, Silhouettes, Rookie Silhouettes and so much more) and now we’re going to share them with you.
Enjoy this first look and stay tuned to The Knight’s Lance today. As soon as Barr dispatches his next batch of images, we’ll post them here.

I like the variety of cards available in this product, but I look at last year's release and see how cheap it is now with an actual rookie class and think it's better to wait and see if this year's drops in price. If the average box is going to net you 2 lame rookie dual jerseys like last year, then it's not worth $90 a box.

You could actually probably get a premium for the Prizm pack sealed.....
