I think you made out okay overall.

Probably ahead of the game.

But how were all those hits not packed out in boxes again?

UD has been known to tell a player or two the proverbial "check is in the mail" bit. Maybe Doughty hasn't been paid yet. Wouldn't be the first time a player refused to send anything back.

Rick Nash flat out told UD (his agent actually) pay me up front or I won't sign.

I think holt49's (and others) point was that the cards that were sent as replacements were hits that apparently were never in the tins. Which means that UD was holding on to stuff that was supposed to be available in the product (whether as a redemption or otherwise). I.e. if there's 20 gretzky autos total and you're supposed to have a 1:2000 chance of pulling one but they actually only put 15 in then their stated odds aren't accurate.

Stated odds are correct...they do hold some cards back for replacement purpose and the overall reflects that. All companies do it...

the odds stated is the number of cards available in boxes not how many were made...(other than the 1/1s of course)....

After getting the two cup replacements in the end that's pretty solid CS.
Imagine being topps product (not possible for hockey I know) and getting a Dwight Gooden or a David Wright replacement redemption auto /199 for something that was valued at $200+??
