Default Calder Memorial Trophy

Goes to.......Huberdeau as rightfully deserved. Voting was pretty close, check it out.

I would've given it to Gallagher, he really had a great year with the Habs. Can't argue against Huberdeau, though. He had a very good year as well. Should be exciting, seeing him and (insert 2nd overall pick) play together for years to come!

The argument with Huby is that he pretty much had to do everything on his own since the Panthers had a ridiculous amount of injuries. Other candidates played alongside healthier teams with more raw talent

I think it's a joke that neither Yakupov or Schultz were even considered.

Schultz - yes. Yakupov - no. Both will be elite players very soon, but they did not have Calder-worthy seasons (Schultz did deserve a mention, though).

Yaks had the most goals.

Tied for the most points with Hubs.
(Played 2 minutes less and finished -4 vs -15)

Top of his team in goals.

Hatrick in his last game.

That's definitely Calder worthy.

I have to agree here, Yakupov should have been in there.
