Default Gahhhh...Sick of Bruins Players Being Carted off the Ice with no Calls!

Cooke intentionally tried to decapitate Savard and no on-ice penalty??

So that's Savard once, Aaron Ward once (last year), and Bergeron twice (past two years)....

Time for the "Big, Bad Bruins" to come out and play. Get your nose healed quickly Looch!

where is PJ Stock when you need him! He was great to watch on the ice (not for his playing but his fighting!)

I despise Matt Cooke. One of the dirtiest players in the league

I'm sure when Cooke comes to Boston next Thursday he will get his. Or someone can just go by Sidney Crosby and knock him out.

The Bruins actually played the game smart, they could not retaliate as their was less than a period remaining in the game, and they were down a goal. The retaliation will have to wait untill next week when the Pens come to Boston. Chiarelli actually commented on the fact the Team showed poise etc., but he is getting pissed off with the non-calls. It's bad enough the B's can't put the puck in the net or for the most part finish around the net, and now you lose one of the few Goal scorers you have! Thank god for the Goaltending thats what is going to earn a Playoff spot!!!

Savvy is the Bruins top player and when he gets taken out on a cheap, gutless hit then the Pens top player should be fair game.

I would prefer to see someone take out Cooke, though Crosby better have his head up for that game. Time was they would call up a guy from the minors to do the deed - one guy whom the Leafs tried to use to do in Gretzky back in the early '80s used to work for my Dad - one NHL game, one beat-down by Semenko if memory serves.

I don't disagree that Cooke should have been kicked out.
I do disagree that Crosby should be injured because Cooke (and Campbell) is an idiot.

Still, it might take Crosby or Ovechkin being hit this way for Campbell to finally grow a brain.

Matt Cooke is a piece of garbage, and all the Pens players asides from Guerin have had his back and said oh he didn't mean it. Wednesday night the Bruins need to tell Thornton to go out there and knock Crosby's block off. I doubt that pussy Cooke will even play. We need to make this right, and the only real way to do that is to send Sid the Kid to the infirmary, an eye for an eye. The Bruins need to do that to get back some self respect. If not they are softer than soft and have no right calling themselves hockey players.

Hopefully they do a bit more than the normal lame NHL fights. A bloody lip and sore face is hardly payback for such a cheap shot.

So do you guys not realize that hit by Cooke was completely legal according the the NHL rules? I'm not saying it was a good hit, I'm really not. It should not have happened. But, by rule, he did not leave his feet, he did not lift his elbow, and he did not stride into him, and in those situations, it is completely legal to deliver a blow to the head. Hell, where was all the outrage when David Booth got blown up earlier this season and no suspension? There wasn't much and that hit was much much worse. Yet still within the rules.

All that being said, it is a bad rule and needs to be changed. But everyone needs to stop bitching and moaning about it until something is changed in the rules.

Flame away all those who know crap about the game and rules.

I hear what you are saying but in all sports there are written and unwritten rules. Players take care of the unwritten ones.

I don't disagree with you on that. Like I said, the hit should not have happened. I have no problem with players seeking retribution for the hit. I missed the 1st period of the game, but from the sounds of it, someone scrapped with Cooke. I'm sure he knew it was coming, and highly doubt he "crapped his pants" as someone said so eloquently , fought like a man and took whatever beating may have come his way.

All I'm really trying to say is, let the players take care of policing the game. Don't speak to the hit and bitch about no suspension if you don't at least know the rules and reasoning behind the decision.

And I'm out on this topic.

Well it wasn't Cooke but that is two beat downs to none...

Someone needs to teach the Pens how to fight!

Mike Millbury interviewed Colin Campbell before the game. Campbell basically said the reason no suspension was given because of the precedent that was sent with the Booth hit.

Yes it was illegal, yes it was dirty, yes it deserved a suspension.
