Team can thank fleury for that one. 2 decent periods, then they sat in DB shell mode. It worked but still, I can't stand that. Rangers being tired was obvious in why it worked.

But they played decent defense, got some lucky bounces, and played well on the PK. I expect the Rangers to be psychotically aggressive Wednesday night.

Is this series ever going to be at least watchable? That's some boringggg hockey going on there for sure.

Wow, two straight shutouts. Fleury stole that one, plain and simple. Even with the disparity in shots I still like the way the Pens played - very few odd man breaks allowed. A lot of the Rags' shots were because of the power plays - even though they didn't score they put some shots on net, and being shorthanded that often took them out of their normal line rotations. DB was mixing up the lines quite a bit, which I don't mind - it's nice to see him actually do some coaching for a change.

Letang has been a beast the last 4-5 games, Scuderi seems to have found a groove, and Bortuzzo has been his usual physical annoying self. And what a pass he made the Crosby on the breakaway! If Letang or Martin does that it would be standard stuff, but I didn't know Borts had that in him. Maatta, however, was a disaster - too many giveaways, especially the one out of the right corner that Nisky bailed him out on. Maatta is going to be a good defenseman for a long time in this league, but when Brooks comes back he should be the one to sit - they can't take Bortuzzo out of the lineup with the way he's playing. Gabby benched Hampus Lindholm (who I think of as the west coast version of Maatta) earlier in the playoffs when he wasn't playing well - DB needs to do the same for Maatta.

I don't know if this series goes 5, 6, or 7 games, because I STILL don't know which Pens team will show up from one game to the next. But with the way Fleury is playing the Pens can win even if they don't "get to their game." He's earned the benefit of the doubt (which he won't get) even if he has a bad game.

Orpik will play tonight. Good news for the Rangers.

Stinks that Bortuzzo will sit. Scuderi or Matta should be scratched instead. I think Matta has had a tough post season, following an almost incredible regular season. Scuderi, well, he is old slow, and all of a sudden this season, dumb.

Krieder is playing tonight as well maybe he will spark the offense. It can't get any worse than it has been

If that's not looking good what would you say about the rangers

And that's that

once again the Rangers "powerplay" kills any momentum they may have had going into the 3rd

crazy shorthanded goal by the Pens. Sutter is truly getting it done in this postseason!
