05/06 UD Ultimate ??

Are there any redemptions in this product? And do the cards from it hold any sort of value compared to The Cup??

It's UD, so yeah, there are redemptions. Doesn't hold its value compared to The Cup, but precious few things do (SPA and UD Young Guns come to mind). But it's a lot cheaper than The Cup.

The only 05-06 products that I see worth what they cost are Ultimate (debatable), UD2 and Rookie Update.

Yeah, busted a case and only got one. And my case hits sold for a combined $15. Yeah, my nuts still hurt from that one. But it's still worth the money.

Your odds are 1 in 8 boxes on any particular Young Gun, so stop whining. I have a legit gripe, it took 7 1/2 cases to get my first Vanek Young Gun.

We opened a ton of that in the shop during the 2006 summer when it dropped to $400 a case.

Are you serious about the Vanek? That's a little extreme. It's not like it's a #/99 Ice RC.

I pulled two of them in three cases, I guess that makes me even with UD, and no, I'm not kidding. I was posting on here (when this board wasn't overrun with morons) for Vanek young guns to fill pre-sold sets.

I must have bought 10 or 11 here. It was a weird batch of cases. I ordered 5 as a pre-sell, got 15 of some guys, and 3 or 4 of others, and no Vanek. Then I ordered 5 retail cases, and we knew collation was crap in there, and still through 2 1/2 cases no Vanek, finally in box #11 of retail case three we got our first Vanek.

I remember that vividly because I was on the phone with UD and they were assuring me that Vanek was packed out. I finally got one for my PC this fall.

I have about 20 Getzlaf rookies (not for trade) left. Go Ducks!
