Default Does anyone here invest in the Playoffs?

I figure even though A.O.'s stock is high right now, it will be even higher if Washington can sneak into the playoffs, same with Backstrom. If Carey Price can get the Habs through at least the first round, his cards will skyrocket, especially with his crazy fan base. I think new collectors are born during the playoffs because the excitement can be so infectious. So I figure if you pick up low-mid end cards of players who make it far in the playoffs, you could potentially make out like a bandit.

Has anyone tried this before?

I'm thinking about trying it, something like a personal hockey pool.

Thoughts? Ideas?

I have an Ovie rookie card that I'm hedging on when to put up, his stuff is down right now, but can't decide if I should put it up once the playoffs start or if he wins the scoring title and/or MVP.

As to your question, I think that teams making the playoffs and those that perform well will positively impact the price of the cards. I don't know if they will skyrocket, but you should see some sort of increase in value.
Looking for - Nick Kingham, Blake Taylor, Gregory Polanco, and Alen Hanson

I hold a few rookies back from breaks each year so when they have a good playoff I can make a few extra bucks. Hoping Carolina makes a long run, I still have about 60 Cam Ward rookies.

You must look into that storm and shout as you did in Rome. Do your worst, for I will do mine! Then the fates will know you as we know you.”
