Finally ordered Center Ice yesterday just so we could watch every Hawks game.

They'll need to find a way to keep Saad when his contract is up. Versteeg is playing out of his mind now too...it's a nice surprise.

Morin says play me or trade me. Not the demands you make when your on a cup contender.

I'd want out if I were him too... They continue to give anyone besides him a shot, and even when he plays he barely cracks 6 minutes of ice time despite his team leading corsi%.

He signed a 2 year deal this offseason, presumably in good faith that after being jerked around for a few seasons he'd finally got his shot. Since Q seems to be content to give anyone else besides Morin a shot, it's time for him to move on. Especially if he ever wants to make his mark as a 22 or 23 year old player. He needs to play somewhere if he wants to have a career.

Teuvo Teravainen would disagree with that statement.

15 games this year for Morin, and he doesn't have a single point. Fact is, Hawks are so deep, he is/was never going to get anything other than 3rd or 4th line minutes, or be a healthy scratch. Similar guys on the roster have been able to produce, Morin has not. Simple as that.

I'm not saying that Morin is a superstar or anything, or that he should be on the top 6, b/c on a team like the Blackhawks those positions are pretty well solidified (at least until the next cap crunch)

But he has not gotten a fair shot at all. He doesn't even get 3rd or 4th line minutes. He's dead last on the team in minutes per game. Tough to do much when you play the fewest amount of minutes. (What exactly has Nordstrom done (or what does he do?) to earn about 4 1/2 minutes more of ice time per game than Morin was ever given?) Yes he hadn't scored, but part of that was bad luck or being snake bitten... b/c when he played, his lines drove posession (hence his team leading corsi%) and his SOG/60 were right near the top.

I can't wait for the Hawks to trade Morin, turning a 2nd rounder into a 5th rounder because of all the time spent stunting his growth.

You bring up an interesting point with Teuvo too... Because he is ready to play right now (and could honestly probably slide in to a 2C with a slight line rejumbling) and put Richards on the 3rd line to finally get rid of the Shaw at C expirament/disaster). But I watch what is happening with Morin, and how Pirri was handled before, and I have almost no faith in the Hawks to do the right thing... I think he's a great talent, and I'm afraid they're gonna botch this one too.

Who exactly would you sit right now to have Morin in the lineup with decent minutes ???? Don't get me wrong, I like him as a player, it's just who are you going to sit out in place of him ????

Looks like your boy got exactly what he wanted!

The Columbus Blue Jackets have acquired forward Jeremy Morin from the Chicago Blackhawks for defenseman Tim Erixon.

Isn't everyone wearing shades? What a stupid venue. Should be in Jasper, Alberta or somewhere like that.

Some absolute bad officiating in final minutes of the WC neither penalty should have been called but Crawford needs to stop that weak shot.

not sure why Duncan Keith has been playing like ass the last few weeks. Seabrook hasn't been much better. And too much passing, not enough shooting. They need to get out of this funk soon, because they won't last long in the playoffs if they stay this way.
