Default What to do with Error card? Missing auto 07/08 Ultimate

I opend 3 cases of Ultimate 2007-2008

I noticed this error.

Bobby Ryan Ultimate rookie # to 399 NO AUTO (on back it says congratulations on receiving an auto)

I also got a Auto version in same case.

Should I put it out there for sale as an error? or return to Upper Deck for replacement?

Opinions welcomed.

I don't know if I would really classify it as an error but more of a mistake. The actual card itself is the same as the autographed version but it most likely skipped over by Ryan when he was signing them. I didn't see any other non-autographed versions on ebay or beckett right now. The autographed version seems to be going for around $10-$20. I would think yours would be worth more than the real version but not a lot.
You should list it with a high BIN and take offers to get a feel for what the market is willing to pay.
Also, for a card like this you might want to send messages to people that bid on the autographed version on ebay to let them know it is out there. It can't hurt.

fish is right..... it's not an error. return it to upper deck for a replacement. maybe they don't have anymore and will send you something nicer.

Shoot...I'd try to sell it first for a higher value than what his autos are going for..if not one bites, then return it...or try and sell them both as a set?

Maybe Upper Deck is cracking down for whatever reason, or got a new dept. head in Customer Service? I was at our local card show last weekend and a guy had a similar story. 2007 Sweet Spot Helmet Auto from Greg Olsen (Bear's rookie) but no auto. He was selling it as an "error" and I mentioned he should just sent it back to UD. He said he had called and they would not do anything about it. Write in to Beckett w/ a nice photo and a sob story and see if they will print it? Seems like the complaints that are in Beckett tend to get resolved w/ extra goodies thrown in on top.
