Default Just be honest

I've read a lot of posts about e-bay buyers screwing around when it's time to pay,and I get it, you put time and effort into selling and shipping and some clown doesn't hit a couple buttons to pay you.
However I'm on the other side I just want the card shipped promptly and be in the condition described. In the last two days I've received 3 packages(from 3 diff. sellers) for a total of 11 cards and none of them are in the condition described My purchases are for me, I have nothing for sale, but when I buy a card as NM-M that is what I expect.Today one of my purchases was a 1972-73 OPC Jocelyn Guevremont a card I'm sure that is flying off shelves everywhere.it is so miss-cut that part of his name is missing. After contacting the seller I was told that for a 40 yr old card this is near mint.Age of a card has nothing to do with condition!
I'll stop venting but remember this is a two way street.Seller's have rights and expectations of the buyer but buyer's have similar rights .You want to be paid promptly and I want it shipped promptly.I collect for fun Right now it's more aggravation then fun

It depends. Some buyers have unrealistic expectations. They'll buy a card advertised as "near mint" but they expect to receive something that is "gem mint."

I agree about prompt shipping. I rarely take more than 1 day to ship.

Agreed, buyers have become unrealistic anymore because EBAY allows buyers to screw sellers in every way possible.

I ship within a day of payment and expect at a minimum 3 day's from a seller.

As far as card as described and being miss-cut did this auction not have a picture, based on what you have described I would think an actual picture of the card would have shown that imperfection.

If a card is not graded, than a seller should not tout it as mint, near mint, no creases, etc. they should use objective terms like nice, beauty, or just keep it simple and say something like " see please see pics for condition", or try to point out any and all shortcomings. If I sell vintage and it has a crease I always mention it and use a close up of the crease as a seperate picture.

Didn't you see the card before you bought it? How could you not see the miscut.

in the case of the Guevremont card I assume it was a stock photo and to clarify this was a sale not an auction.,not sure it matters .
