Where was McCarty tonight ? I thought he played alright in game 1. Other than Kocur and Probert, McCarty and his old bare knuckles stance is still top 10 in my book. While I don't think he is in Laraque's class these days, he would keep some of the other guys honest who are taking shots at the Wings more skilled players.

Got a little chuckle out of that.

The way the Penguins were playing tonight, I thought I was watching the Flyers.
I have to say I'm impressed with the Red Wings. Haven't seen as good a passing team all year. And with those uniforms, I thought I was watching the Russians. True about Whitney. And WTF is going on with Malkin. Heard he said something like "I'm tired," before the series started. What did you have, 8 days, 5 days and 5 days rest between series. Young buck, if the Stanley Cup playoffs don't give you an extra burst of energy, get off the friggin ice.

Just because they scored 7 goals doesn't mean they had a lot of scoring chances. I count at least 3 goals that I would consider a garbage goal that doesn't come from a good scoring chance.

Not trying to single you out Pskell as it seems like you might be the only Pens fan on here tonight so don't take anything I post the wrong way. With the skills that Crosby has he should be used to getting extra attention from the opposition and realize he just has to fight through it. I'm sure he has had to deal with that since he was playing pond hockey and skating around all the other kids. He'll get his share of calls and PP chances so he doesn't need to do all the b*tching. I understand he wears the C and has the voice of his team with the officials but I just think he over does it a little.

once again you dont understand what I said. Detroit doesnt need a lot of chances, they just get it done. I actually think it makes the penguins look worse that they've scored 7 on so few chances. That's why I think it's funny he brought up scoring chances.

Please, your old and boring with your disdain for Philly. If you run your mouth at games like you do on here its no wonder you have drunk fans flipping you off. Get over it already. No need to bring up a team thats not even playing because yours just got smoked in 2 straight.

"I like how Crosby just said "Detroits not getting many scoring chances" Yeah well they've still outscored you 7-0" I agreed with Crosby by saying "yeah" and they still have outscored them 7-0 |

Pens will be contenders for a long time if everyone stays together. I've seen alot of teams lose in their first Finals appearance and learn from it the next time they get there. I don't like Shelly and I wonder if he is the right guy for that team. I don't think so but time will tell. Pens have alot of young talent and I can't say enough about how much MAF has impressed me since his return from the high ankle sprain. Probably one of the quickest goalies I've ever seen going from post to post under control.

I think MT has done a good job with the young kids. Look at the team before he took over. Mostly the same guys (not including Crosby, Malkin, and Stall). They had no interest in playing any type of D. Pretty good turn around if you ask me, taking a last place team to the finals in as short a period of time as he has.

Hossa is expendable as is Whitney. I'd like to see them keep Orpik, Skuds, Malone, and Gonchar. Some of the other guys, ehh.... I wish they would have kept Colby when they made the trade with Atl. Oh yea, they need to keep Ruutu as well.

WOW after reading the post game press interview I wanted to go cry on Michel Therrien's shoulder.... what a baby... now the Wings are the Kings of Obstuction and the Refs let them get away with it. Maybe by the time the series is over he will stand up and say "You know that is a damn good hockey team over there and they wanted it more than my kids wanted it in Pittsburgh" Keep the crying in the locker room!
