Let me be the first to give congrats to the Wings. Great series, bad outcome for me, but overall well played and entertaining. Congrats again.

Also I would like to say, classy move by all the fans at the game who are still there and congratulated the winners.

Pens fans should be disappointed today, but excited for their future. If they can afford to keep all that talent. They got some good playoff experience, hell they made it to the finals. The slow start in game 1 and 2 killed them but it is a good lesson and they will be back

Wings fans add another one. It is kind of weird to see them win one without Scotty Bowman lacing up the skates and skating out their with them like he did when he was coach

If that doesn't make the average sports fan get into hockey, nothing will. That was the best. 10 times better than NBA or MLB.

What did I say like 4 weeks ago, Wings finals in 6. Damn I hate that 90 second score...cost me $550. It was almost a perfect game, and the Pens really scared me at the end and cost me my bet of $500.

Man what an exciting game, I am still recovering from celebrating and regaining my heart rate.

I don't think it was game 1 & 2 that killed them. I think the back breaker was game 4 when they had the lead and fell apart. The series would have and probably should have been 3-2 Pens with a chance to lock it up tonight. But alas it didn't go that way. Woulda, shoulda, coulda I guess....

Can't wait till next year!

I am not a hockey fan by ANY means. But the last few minutes of that game and listening and reading about the last few games, was INTENSE!! I actually was into the final minutes of the game. I vowed to never like hockey a long time ago, probably because I was a football player and in our area no one played hockey. But congrats to both teams for an awesome game! Who knows maybe I'll get into some hockey cards next year!

Its addicting! Hockey kinda grows on you if you give it a chance. People don't realize how much constant action there is. IMO hockey players are the best athletes in sports and they have every bit of my respect. (Not saying that football players aren't great athletes)

Side note : MAF played fantastic and I would hope that all of the people that dog him will bite their tongues and finally realize that he is a top notch goalie. If the Pen's could have pulled out the series he would have easily been the MVP.

pskell,

class act buddy! I knew when I came on tonight that you would be the first Pens fan to congrat the wings and us wing fans. I know you are dissapointed but your team showed class and heart tonight (some fans did as well). They will be around for a long time with all that youth. This was a great series, and IMO this was the best matchup to have. This was great for the NHL.

Hey Matt, Wingin, FM, We did it fellas

what a game, perfect ending to the season with that puck tightwalking that goal line...WOW

and I agree that NHL is 10 times better than NBA and MLB...I mean come on, whose in the Finals of the NBA right now? basketball to me is boring compared to hockey...NHL #1, NFL a close second!

Thanks vortek, I appreciate it man. I think they will keep the core guys together, they have cap space and can cut guys that are just wasting space (ie. Whitney, Eaton, etc.) As long as they keep Malkin, Malone, and MAF around this team will be solid for years to come.

Theres always next year.

Congrats Penguins fans on this season and the favorites to win in '08-'09. Sid The Kid will be a Captain for a long time just like some guy in Hockeytown. Apparently, he is a good character guy too. Some of you might know this, when some of his fans in Toronto was standing outside braving in negative degrees, S.Crosby stepped outside the bus to greet them. Your Pens will be in good hands for a long time.

Most folks who know nothing about hockey can't get into watching it on TV. I have said this a million times to folks, if you go and see a hockey game live it will change your thoughts about a hockey game. Watching on TV isn't the same as unless you know what is going on its hard to keep up with the puck. I always hear folks say they can't keep up with the puck on a TV.

those people must not on a HD TV then. Also I would love to go to red wings game but yeah totally not spending $40-50 on cheap seats.

Can't wait til the Toledo Walleye open up next year in the new arena.

TV or HDTV doesn't do Hockey Justice when it comes to going to a live game. You could bring Fidel Castro to hockey game and he will be hooked!!!

still not spending the rediculous ammount to go to a NHL game. I like watching ECHL live better because there's more blood and toothloss. I also can go to about 6-10 games for the price of 1 NHL game.
