I was all for Lineage until I saw Marquee. The stuff looks sweet!

The poll is closed already? HTF does that happen? This thread just appeared this morning didn't it?

Regardless, my first choice would be Lineage but I am fine with Marquee or Triple Threads.

Same thing happened on my last poll too.

i would like to vote for lineage, please. less hits and more money doesn't seem like it's worth it (30 hits [2:1 autos/gu] in lineage vs 18 [1:2 autos/gu] in marquee)

Hey Peafour, do you have any idea on the strength of checklist? I am only wondering if the Marquee checklist may have a better auto potential? Not sure if this is true and I cannot check right now. You raise a very good point and I am wondering about quality vs quantity. I would rather 1 Hank Aaron over 10 scrubs... just thinking aloud and I may be way off too.

Marquee is 24 hits, not 18. 4 hits per box with 2 autos and 2 relics.

I think the people that are on the fence between Lineage and Marquee need to have a definite vote, as you may be the tie-breakers. And yes, as Rangers82 said, Marquee is 4 hits per box. Based solely on the SRP, I'll bet that they are much higher quality hits than Lineage will produce.

Default Vote Update

Lineage - 7 votes (Brad,canuhandle23,peafour,trubear,upsbroker,thatkidbilly,jared)

Marquee - 8 votes (Denversjb,ReidNOwen,houdini,anderdale,rangers82,romad97,tyler,yanksbillsfan)

Raptorbill voted (again) and since he isn't in the group break his vote doesn't count.

Please check my numbers. I'll pm owners that haven't voted and end this tomorrow at 6pm PST.

Wow, there is good reason that we have a near tie. These are both awesome in different ways.

Marquee is certainly a much higher end product with a better autograph checklist.

Lineage reminds me more of heritage - but with lots of autos you can actually pull.

Here is my comparison:

.......................Lineage..................................Marquee
release..............8/17/2011..............................8/24/2011
price..................$1000....................................$1135
Boxes...................10...........................................6
Packs...................240.........................................24
Cards.................1920........................................120
autos...................20...........................................12
relics....................10...................................12 - jumbo or quad only
parallels................180............................................24
etc...................boxloaders 10 (1 relic?)................stronger auto list

Obviously Lineage has a better chance of an auto, but it is also more likely to be a scrub. The Marquee relics are jumbo or quads and I think that raises them in value somewhat.

Here is an interesting fact though: Lineage is costing us about $4.17 per pack; Marquee is costing us $47.30.

We joined this break (presumably) to acquire cards for our collections that we could not get on our own (as easily anyway). I can always buy Lineage at $4 a pack. I cannot always buy a pack of Marquee at $50 each.

Let's break something worthwhile.

My vote is for Marquee.

(But I really like Lineage too and hope we break it at a later date!)

This is well broken down and well said. I already voted and I certainly am not trying to sway someone but, who says we cant break both products? Obviously not at the same time bu, we can always break the other the following month?

I would gladly change my vote to Marquee if we change the groups rules and random all teams to all owners look at who voted for Marquee yankee, braves, cardinals, dodgers, rangers owners not sure who yankeebillfan owns is this because the priced cards are usally from these teams???? if they agree to random or slot drafting I will gladly vote marguee otherwise when someone runs a group break for Marquee i will join that group if I want. So at present I am sticking with lineage.

Oddly enough, both products have yankee, braves, dodgers, cardinal, and rays autographs (etc).

Lineage has the 52 Berra auto. I am not basing my vote on what some other team might pull that I wish I could have, but on the overall product. Each person has their own vote.

I was drooling over that card, but I firmly believe that Marquee will be better for the teams overall. Less sorting for Marvin too!
