Paid for Houston.

There were only 3 bids total for those interested. One for each team. This is why I think a public auction would be better. I'm sure some members would have looked at this and thought of going to $15-20 or higher (more money for the club). Not necessarily because they want the team, but because they can get a team for fairly cheap.

ok but why let some random person join and maybe pickup some nice cards when paying members who bid can?

should be a one of the perks of being in the club IMHO. If they want to bid, buy a team I like the fact I can pick up an extra team here and there. I may not have another $45/month to spend on another team but 10,15,20 I can swing every now and then.

That's not what he is saying though.

Public as in letting the members see the bidding process and outbid. How many other people would have bid if they had known it was $10?

Not public as in just anyone can bid.

Having said that, I think it is still not a good idea. Here is why: just like on eBay you are going to have 1 guy winning the team up until the last second and then 3 snipers come in at the end. It has the opportunity to create animosity amongst the group and I think that is the death knell of these types of clubs (animosity, sideways talking ...err typing, and passive aggressiveness).

Keep it silent and let every bid be the "snipe." If you want the team bad enough, bid the most you are comfortable paying. If you win, great - if not, ok.

Yes, an open bidding auction may bring more money through a bidding war from time to time, but is it worth it? I say, no. Just my advice.

"1 Multi-Autograph Card per 12-Box Case"

how are they randomized?

We do have a random list of all owners for all non MLB, non affiliated etc cards, I think we are about 1/3 of the way through it. We randomed at the beginning of this with the intent of everybody getting something via random before anybody can have 2. Will have to talk about how to add the new owners.

So if the USA player has a team affiliation it would go to the team owner, if they do not, it would go to the random list.

The random list:

1. Marlins - mgugs46 - Zach Green Auto
2. Angels - hester72598 - Albert Almora Refractor
3. Brewers - sd_navarre - Corey Seager Auto
4. Cardinals - swerve - Zach Green Refractor
5. White Sox - mgugs46 - Alex Bregman Print Plate 1/1
6. Nationals - Rambel - Ivan Pelaez Red Refractor Auto 5/5
7. Astros - upsbroker06 - Nelson Rodriguez Refractor
8. Rockies - RckyMtCollector - Michael Beasley Die-Cut /150
9. Cubs - grm94 - OJ May School Colors
10. Rays - meyer9977 - Michael Beasley School Colors
11. SF Giants - mwolfson22 - Michael Beasley School Colors
12. Phillies - stevejeltz - Cat Osterman School Colors
13. Braves - gergs1134
14. Pirates - pskell02
15. Blue Jays - upsbroker06
16. Indians - Bum Dawg
17. Reds - Guru
18. Twins - alsjunk2002
19. Red Sox - mgugs46
20. Tigers - iluvfish2
21. Yankees - upsbroker06
22. Dodgers - maculay75
23. Orioles - messingaroundok
24. Rangers - slugger82685
25. Mariners - Straw44
26. A's - Rambel
27. Royals - Straw44
28. Mets - Bum Dawg

Not sure how to go about adding the new members. Part of why everyone needed to stick out the year. Although I guess the new team owners that took over for someone no longer around could slot into their teams spot. Example, houdini could slot int the Dodgers slot at 22, etc. Just like whomever bought the A's for this break would slot into slot 26.

My thoughts are delete the previous owner and add them to the end of the list in the order they signed up. Teams like the Cubs, Angels and CWS have already received their random which wouldn't be fair to the current owners.

Also I never really noticed it before, but the owners that won silent auctions shouldn't have a place in this. It should be only for teams owned through the season. Not to pick on upsbroker, but he shoul only have one random spot for the Yankees, not for the Blue Jays and Astros as well as he only won them for one break.

http://www.blowoutcards.com/forums/a...reak-club.html

The information regarding this is is the first post of the link under proposed rules. The intention was for all owners to stay for 12 motnhs, that hasn't happened, so we have to adapt. Which is why I believe you should be added to the bottom of the list in either random order, or the order you signed up.

If I was unclear in my explanation I apologize, but the information is there for all to see in a link I gave you before you first signed up.

The intent was whomever won a silent bid would have their name put in place of that team for that break. We haven't had to use this list in a while so it hasn't been updated since the last time it was used.

Ha, good catch! Our first break was 2010 Draft and no one bid on those teams because there was nothing to had. Didn't think about it since.

Nobody "owns" the Astros at this time. This team is auctioned every month for the time being.
