Default FB Group Break (3 Years worth!) 07 Contenders, 08 Masterpieces, 09 Threads(40 boxes!)

**This will be my last one for awhile, busy part of the year for me is coming up***

Well here is another break for anyone interested. I think I have come up with a fun and a good value break. This will be for a 32 slot team break. But it will not be randomized by team, you will be assigned a number (random org will be done by a mod) and that number will represent your pick number. Pick 1 gets first choice of all the teams, second gets second choice and so on. But what will be different about this break is that is that it will be 3 different product and 3 different years, this gives great value to many more teams. If there are any questions, please post on here or PM me. Again, you can check out my status on other sites as well, Ebay 2200+, SCF 20+, The Bench 40+.

The 3 products will be:
1 case, 12 boxes, 2007 Contenders FB
1 case, 16 boxes, 2008 UD Masterpieces FB
1 case, 12 boxes, 2009 Donruss Threads FB

2009 Rc's are hot and you add that with 2008 and 2007 RC’s this is a for sure winner! This is 40 boxes in this break with 144 HITS! That is almost 5 per team. There will be no team that will not have value in this break!

The person who selects Team "A" will get all the cards in both cases, including auto’s, GU, inserts, refractors, and base cards. If there is a case were there are 2 players from different teams on a card, the card will go to the players name listed first on the card, if 2 of the same card is pulled, the second card will go to the 2nd team (THIS ONLY APPLIES TO NON AUTO OR NON GU CARDS). If there is a AUTO OR GU card with more then 1 auto or more then 1 GU on it, it will be randomized between the teams on the card. Example: If we pull an insert of AP and Calvin out of 2007 Contenders, It would go to who is listed on the card first, but if we pull the AUTO version of this card, it will be randomized between the Vikes and Lions . Having 3 different years will add value to all teams.

Break will be done live on UStream.

Slots will be $90.00 a slot.

this one might take a little longer. But I'd rather spend $90 on 1 team slot that's good in 3 cases than on 1 card like some do on triple threads.

Default I like the concept...

I'll go for 1 slot in this break

Excellent job on the previous one Coltman. This one hardly costs as much as one box. I also think we've seen that almost any team slot can be good or bad so drafting position while helpful, is not an instant advantage or disadvantage.

Best to All,
Vinny

Default Just looking at possibilities...

For the price of 1 average box ($90) you do have a shot at some really nice cards even if we don't pull a blockbuster hit. I was just looking around at the '07 and '08 cases (we all have a grip on the '09 stuff) and here's a quick rundown:

2007 Contenders
Adrian Peterson
Trent Edwards
Marshawn Lynch
Calvin Johnson
Kevin Kolb
Michael Bush
Steve Smith (NY)
Dwayne Bowe
Ted Ginn Jr.
Sidney Rice
David Clowney
Matt Moore
Santonio Homes

2008 UD Masterpieces
Felix Jones
Matt Forte
Steve Slaton
Matt Ryan
Joe Flacco
Kevin Smith
Jonathan Stewart
Ray Rice
Rashard Mendenhall

That's without the star autos like Manning, Favre, Big Ben, and other veterans. The Masterpieces may not go for as much but they're just cool cards imho. I wish I had more in my budget but 1 slot may be the best investment/gamble in this break.

Best to All,
Vinny

If this doesn't work it would be nice to reset the slot values and maybe offer to break the '07 Contenders case if that works for you.

Just a thought,
Vinny

Vinny,

We will see what I can do. I always like to offer more then 1 year of product to give more teams value. I feel that is a benefit to the people joining the break.

agree coltman.more than 1 year makes it a better value for most teams.just having 07 would not give enough of a value for very many teams.I just think most peoples funds are pretty tapped out;to pay $90 a slot.Would be a good break but doesn't look like it will happen.Never know though.

I'd love to get in, but like nineout said, I don't have the funds to put up $90 on a slot. I usually go with 2 or 3 slots to better my chances, but I just can't risk $90 on one slot.

Default I agree...

the 1 case team break probably isn't a good deal. The gambler in me would do it but value-wise I can see how half the teams wouldn't be worth the $90.

That being said, I wish we had 32 guys with 90 bucks for the original break. Even with 1 slot I think there's probably potential in almost every slot. I would feel good with a top 20 pick and we've seen decent cards come from lower picks in other breaks.

I guess I'm just anxious to gamble away my money again on sportscards.

Vinny

For me it's not about having the $$$...it's the last 2 breaks weren't the greatest for me!

Well I am going to get out for now and put my money into another break. If you need a slot filled when this gets closer than I might pick that one up so good luck.

I think the last one filled up so fast becouse of the product. The 3 years thing is fun and is an awesome idea and it was worth the gamble becouse you had the certified stuff in there which is a hot product. The only reason I didnt jump on this one is becouse the product shoice. I still like the 3 years worth idea and even doing it by team is fine but I just dont care for the 3 products selected for this break or I would have been all over this again.
