Default 2013 Baseball Club

We Need 7 members. We will have a total of 15 members that each have 1 permanent team and 1 randomed team. Each month the list of unclaimed teams will be randomed (from previous month's list) and each member will end up with a total of 2 teams.

Please note that costs may vary month to month and there is a chance we will not be breaking every month due to case cost.

This group has worked really well together and any new members should feel confident that this is a top notch group of members to be with.

Mgugs46 is still our case breaker and paypal will be going to him as well, so please follow the payment instructions listed below.

Please only join if you are able to commit for a minimum of 3 months. We are looking for long term members ideally.

Current rules (subject to revisions and additions, I did tweak #2):

Cost: Variable per break

1. Products will be proposed and chosen by members.

* Products can come from previous years.
* Club has chosen to proceed with Higher End Products Only

2. Each member will have 1 permanent team and 1 team that will be from a random each month.

3. Non-sport items or cards with no affiliation (USA) will be assigned at random. A random list will be developed once applicable.
Once a member has received a random item, their name cannot be involved in a random until all members have received a random item.

4. Cards with multiple teams. These will be randomed off among the teams shown on the card (revised 5-18-14....If a member owns 50% or more of a card with three or more teams, the card will go to that member. This is the only revision to this rule #4)
IF, during the same break, an identical card is pulled (identical meaning same set, same level of serial number such as xx/99) then it will go to the other team meaning both teams will get a copy. If the card is a different level ( one xx/99 and one xx/49) both versions would be subject to random. If mgugs is involved a non-interested party will conduct the randomization.

5. Cards will be distributed to the team that is named on the card at the time the product was produced.

6+ Additional rules as they arise.

They're out at the same time...so Tribute or Museum? My vote is tribute. Somehow I gotta believe Museum will underwhelm after last year, but I don't think you can go wrong either way.

Question for the group: are we allowed to trade/sell our random team to other members before the break?

I like the idea of being able to move the random team if desired.

I think Museum looks better, but am ok either way.

I do not see any issues with moving any teams that you have (random/permanent) as long as it is to another member in the group, once you are paid up for the break...or feel free to donate them my way

Just for future reference, in any break that comes up, I am always interested in trading/buying the Mariners

I am leaning towards Museum between that and Tribute. Did you folks prefer a poll to vote in or just say who you want?

Moving to active.

When sending an Online Payment to the host, protect yourself by sending as goods (not gift). If a payment is sent as a "gift", you eliminate your chance of filing a claim or chargeback should the need arise. If possible, fund the payment with a credit card to be fully protected.

Dont forget we'll need to rereport once a product is selected so the order can be setup.

I'm ok with trading teams as well.

I like Museum collection better than Tribute ... or at least the way it looked last year!

I personally dont mind trading the random teams w/in the group. If someone wanted to sell their random team hits outside of the break (pre or post break) they can but it shouldn't be the hosts responsibility to ship them to that person since they're not directly in the break.

I actually like Museum over Tribute last year would wouldn't mind seeing it broke again this year.

So we need to make some decisions rather quickly....Museum is out on the 10th which is around the corner, and it looks like it would be about 156.00 per member plus about 5.00 for shipping and supplies (est). This would all be due by next weekend or so to get the order locked ...

Is the amount too much, too soon?

Some of us had expressed being comfortable around 100.00 a month and paying every month with a break every two months, while others were fine paying by the break...when you get a chance, please chime in and let's see where we stand as to being able to do the Museum break or not....

I would prefer to go for the Museum case even though it is close...but no problem waiting if we need to

Museum is fine with me. I'm open to paying monthly or by break which ever the group chooses.

I will take a backup slot for the Royals -

In the meantime, can the person who gets awarded the Royals have permission to sell them to me?

HI,

you will be first on the backup list.

Unless there is some huge outcry from the club, we will be keeping the selling/trading of slots just within the club for now. All cards will be shipped to the club member who is attached to them at the time of the break, regardless of any deals that have been made with members outside of the club.
